Trump Administration moves to end legal marijuana.

Exactly. It is much ado about nothing. Nobody is kicking in your door to take your bong.

Thingy is just so used to hyperventilating he can’t help himself.

Bottom line is this. Regardless of what you think of the law, marijuana is illegal at the federal level. Additionally it has long been accepted that federal laws apply to all states. States can make them more restrictive but not less.

For me, Trump and Sessions are merely following the law. They are tasked with following the law even those they don’t agree with.

I guess Thingy and his fellow statists got so used to Obama acting above the law that they don’t know how to act now.

The Chief Executive can direct his department resources as he sees fit. Discretionary use of LE resources is used all across the country all the time. That Obama correctly ordered his resources to not be employed to aggressively pursue marijuana laws does not mean he was acting “above the law”.

Stupid statement, but we are used to that from you.

Hello?

When did the dems have power enough to pass legalized pot?

In 1995? do you think they were going to pass pot legislation in 1995?

Or are you trying to insinuate the dems had total control in 2009 and didn't pass it?

Why not?
All the pot smoking hippies from the late 60's to the late 70's, were now at least 25 years older and of voting age and were electing the representatives who should have had their hands on the pulse of the nation.
So why didn't all the dreams from 25 years earlier, come to fruition?

Because they, and Obama, were too timid.

My fellow democrats will disagree, but I'm talking about what I know. Obama's contradictions on marijuana are well-documented.

Let's not forget that Obama cracked down on medical marijuana like his last name was Bush. He OPPOSED the legalization of marijuana.

If there is anyone who disputes that, I'd like to hear it.

I read the Vox article on the pro weed legislation Corey Booker proposed and it said he basically had no support in the Senate.

Sorry for repeating myself but to me this is an issue that states will take up first and congress will follow on.

I just disagree that it's a right wing racist thing holding legalization back. On the federal level it's very bi-partisan. There are pro weed sites that wrote anti Hillary articles claiming she told big banks in speeches she would not support legalization.

But Sessions sucks here

You are arguing certain people are holding this legislation back. Can you show when Democrats have tried to pass or put together a coalition to overturn these drug laws?

A drugged society is a more pliable society

I can understand how living in Commiefornia would make someone want to alter their mental state
