Sure it increased it but it didn't put it in the Constitution. It's been there since 1787.

If you read the why from those supporting prohibition being done as an amendment rather than a law passed by Congress, you may understand, although put in as an amendment, it didn't have to be done that way. If you understood the difference in the process of amending/repealing an amendment vs. that of a law passed by Congress, it would go a long way in helping you see why, although not necessary, the push was for an amendment.

Medical applications is how they got the foot in the door, so to speak.

It's been legalized for recreational use, so any "pretense" is gone.

yes, the why is without, they would of had to go to each of the 50 states and passed legislation at the state level. That would of been very long and time consuming. (and probably impossible)

And now? interstate commerce includes activity that is neither cross state lines, nor commerce. And you support that Orwellian bullshit because you truly are an asshole

Agreed. While I don't agree with what they're doing, at least they would be honest about it.

With my work, I am quite often approached by people asking for money to buy (fill in the blank). While I will try to meet their need, mostly food requests, I don't give them money because I can smell on them what they've been "eating". However, a few weeks ago was different. I saw the guy coming toward me knowing, or at least in this case, thinking what he was going to ask. To my surprise, he was honest. He said he wasn't going to ask for money to buy food, provide for his kids, etc. His actual request was something to the effect of "I'm not going to bullshit you. I want some money to buy me a beer". Had I had cash on me, I would have given it to him for being honest.

I don't want to get high. I strongly believe in the medicinal properties of pot. I am for responsible personal choices. I am not hiding behind anything or anyone.
