Good on him for finally doing that, but there were literally months of negative, discrediting tweets where he didn't, and I'd be somewhat surprised if he didn't get pressure internally to finally start commenting that he was just talking about leadership.
And even after he started that, it was only sporadic. It is really not disputable that he has sought to discredit and undermine these vital organizations.
