What makes you think that, knowing that businesses know government assistance programs exist?
Because $5/hour skills are worth $5/hour.
None of those I pay use social welfare. They get paid a wage equivalent to their skills and I make a profit. The few that have grumbled about the pay have been given an option. Either find somewhere else that pays more if you don't think you're making enough or get the fuck back to work because I'm not paying people to bitch and whine. To those that say they can make more somewhere else, I tell them if they can, that's where they should be working. Interesting thing is none have left for that higher pay.
