Ford's allegations came out, and there's no evidence that Feinstein leaked the allegations. What were the Democrats supposed to do at that point? Ford was wiling to testify. Were the Democrats supposed to conspire to make sure her story never became known to the American people? Why?

Judge should be subpoenaed. He's alleged to have been in the room at the time. His sworn testimony is the only other likely insight we can get into this.

If what she is saying happened, then all those who claim it didn't are attacking her reputation -- saying that she is a perjurer and slanderer, who for some unknown reason invented a terrible story about an old acquaintance. First, this hasn't destroyed him. What's at stake is whether he should get a big promotion. Being denied a promotion isn't something that destroys people. Second, you don't have any idea whether he's a good man, you just like his politics. He may be a good man. He may be a guy who was involved in at least three incidents of serious sexual misconduct. You and I don't know. The point of the hearing is to give people a chance to see how credible each witness seems, so we can take our best guess. Notably, one side is really uncomfortable with that kind of transparency.

Still, I wouldn't charge him either. The standard for criminal law is being able to convince every single juror, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the defendant committed the crime. There's just not enough evidence there that any prosecutor would expect to be able to get all twelve jurors (statistically including a few Republicans) across that line. But this isn't a criminal case. It's a job interview. If it were anywhere other than this highly politicized atmosphere, we wouldn't even be having this discussion, because when three separate women accuse a job applicant of serious sexual misconduct, that's more than enough to go on to the next resume in the pile.

a highly credible woman who was willing to testify in front of Congress about it? There was NOTHING credible about Ford. She has a history of drunkenness, psychological issues and the people she claims were there stated in no uncertain terms they weren't there making her a liar of the highest order. She couldn't remember when, where, how or why.

So you honestly believe that cock and bull story Ford put out despite the fact she has not one shred of evidence Kavanaugh did it. I watched her testimony and she is a very confused emotional cripple who really doesn't know if the event even happened. Hell even her "so called" witnesses couldn't confirm her story. I honestly feel sorry for the woman as you lefties are shamelessly using her as a pawn in a game of politics. If I were a Democrat (which I was at one time) I would resign the party after this.
