Kavanaugh should step down.

It's hard to take this level of dishonest stupidity seriously.

I loved teaching. Thanks to members on this committee, I will NEVER be able to teach again.

I loved coaching my daughter’s basketball team. I felt it was a great way to develop confidence in women. Thanks to members on this committee, I will NEVER be able to teach again.

As a reminder, the members of the committee didn't come up with these claims. Three separate women who knew Kavanaugh when he was younger did. What do you think Kavanaugh believes the Democrats should have done, in the face of serious allegations of sexual misconduct, at least one of which came from a highly credible woman who was willing to testify in front of Congress about it? Ought they have to conspired with Kavanaugh to keep it quiet, so that he needn't be embarrassed when coaching his daughter's basketball team? Does he think they owed him a duty to keep her from telling her story? She chose to come forward with this, but for whatever reason, he's decided not to be upset with her about that, but rather to be upset at the Democrats. Why? What did they supposedly do wrong?

I won't step aside. Like the majority of Americans, I recognize Kavanaugh is not the right man for the job. If the Republicans railroad his nomination through, even after that despicable display made it clear he's unqualified for the role, I want to make sure they pay the political price for betraying us.

let me try and explain this to you in the simplest way possible,

the "political price" you speak of will be payed at the first big decision that your party sends up to the supreme court after Judge kavanaugh is seated.

Is that clear enough for you?

he's decided not to be upset with her about that, but rather to be upset at the Democrats. Why? What did they supposedly do wrong?

how do you even address such an obvious question, it kind of answers itself, no?

Hey, you ugly old hag...how ya doin'?

Beer, beer, beer. I almost could hear Mario Lanza's voice singing in The Student Prince.

By the way...did you know that Kavanaugh played Basketball and Football in high school?

And that he went to the library every day?

He should mentioned curing the lepers...and causing the blind to see...

...but I guess even he could see that would be a step too far.
His college friend on CNN last night told a different story than Kavanaugh tells about himself.

thanks for the commentary, now if you could just kindly step aside while we get this great man confirmed,
much appreciated
apparently some here are unaware that he has been successfully serving on a high court for twelve years....

It’s apparently difficult for you to imagine the man is innocent.

Assume he was for a moment. How would you expect him to react after being accused of vile conduct in front of his wife and kids?

I'd expect him to react reasonably. If he knows he's innocent, then the ones who have wronged him here are Ford and the other two women who say otherwise. If he got angry and called them liars, fine. But, instead, he came completely unglued and started ranting like a crazed Fox News host about the Democrats in general and the members of the committee, who he seems to imagine committed an offense against him by giving the woman a chance to tell her story, the same way as he's had a chance to tell his.

Look, I get it: some people are overly emotional and just can't think clearly when they're upset. But that's not a good judicial temperament.

As a point of contrast, think back to the debates, when Donald Trump cynically tried to push Hillary Clinton over the emotional edge by having a press event where he hyped claims by various women about Hillary's husband's supposed sexual misbehavior, and then seated those women right in the front of the debate crowd. He hoped to throw her off her game. But she is a grown up, and kept control of her emotions. She remained calm and rational and completely beat the crap out of him in the debate, not by yelling, crying, and engaging in other Kavanaugh-style histrionics, but instead by skillfully wielding facts and arguments against him. If she'd come all unglued, like Kavanaugh did, you could rightly question whether she has an appropriate temperament for the presidency. Well, I'm pointing out that Kavanaugh doesn't have appropriate temperament for a courtroom.... unless he maybe wants to take over for Judge Judy, or some other bottom-feeding reality TV court.

oh contraire,

I think we need some balls on the Supreme Court,

kind of counter the pretentious "I know better than you and DAMN what the constitution says" attitude from Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

Meh, I’m not buying any of that lol.

If Kavanaugh came off cool and calculated he’d be ‘a cold hearted liar’.

Democrats own every bit of what happened yesterday. They own that circus. They even managed to get Lindsey Graham’s dander up.

Humility? Dignity? Where was the humility or dignity by the Democrats in their despicable unethical attempts to smear this man?

What do you think the Democrats should have done, when faced with serious sexual misconduct allegations from a credible woman willing to testify about her experience? Do you think their job was to join the Republicans in ramming this nomination through? They let her tell her story and then they did their job and asked questions of both people. This, for some reason, has caused right-wingers, including the emotionally unhinged Kavanaugh himself, to go apoplectic.

Yours is a distinct minority opinion. Even many on the right were cringing because of how convincing she was.

she lost this one deary,
it's telling how liberals think because their fellow nut-bags feel a certain way, suddenly it's "Americans feel this way", and anyone that doesn't feel that way is in the "minority"

tell us, when does Hillary get sworn in again.

apparently some here are unaware that he has been successfully serving on a high court for twelve years....

Maybe he turned his life around, but he is still responsible for his actions as a young man.
Are you suggesting he get a pass if he assaulted Dr Ford?

"Best Supporting actor" huh

And the award for best actress in a screenplay goes to :Dr FORD

did she really say "I'm sure it was Brett because of the level of urepronephron, and ephonepron in the brain, because as you know it codes that nerve transmitter in the encamponampis of the brain" :rofl2:

https://www.wsj.com/video/fords-tes...ist/14E8F026-3F50-4161-A5AC-8C3F28DD8240.html

watch the womens eyes behind her when she says that :rofl2:

"Dr." Christine Ford

What's your excuse for putting quotation marks around her title? Are you questioning her qualifications? She has a PhD from a high quality university. It would make as much sense as me putting quotation marks around "judge" when referring to Kavanaugh.

If you're right, that he's incapable of ruling impartially on politically charged matters, because of his emotions associated with this hearing, then that confirms the point I was making in the top post: he's not qualified for the job.

Stop the lying already; this was a planned smear campaign from the beginning. There is nothing ethical about it, it is repugnant how low the Democratic Party of the Jackass is willing to stoop and we see the same repugnant bullshit attempts with this President.

EVERYONE who is a constituent for the Democratic Party of the Jackass should be embarrassed by this clownish spectacle we witnessed in these hearings conducted by the DNC and the despicable Chucky Smear Schumer. But alas, that would take more intelligence than the collective grey matter of the liberal left to comprehend.

The notion that we should ruin a man's career, drag his name through the mud and embarrass him in front of his family, his peers and his friends for something imagined and uncorroborated when he was in high school requires the willing suspension of one's intellect. I only wish we could hold the scum bags in the Congress to the same standard. Most would have to resign immediately.

Now STFU you dishonest hack; life is too short for your dishonest simple minded MSNBC prattle.

oh contraire,

I think we need some balls on the Supreme Court

Balls are something the Supreme Court never lacks for. What we need are people with strong enough minds to rule impartially. Putting an emotional child like Kavanaugh on the bench would be a big mistake, even setting aside his likely history as a sexual predator. We can do better.

His college friend on CNN last night told a different story than Kavanaugh tells about himself.

Who the fuck cares? Oh wait; I know the answer to that one. Unethical, despicable members of the Democratic Party of the Jackass who can't win elections and when they are powerless, will stoop to the loweest common denominator to smear good people and drag their reputations through the mud on uncorroborated claims dating to high school.

It doesn't get any more repugnant, pathetic, stupid and unethical than that. You lack the intelligence it would take to comprehend the OBVIOUS.
