U.K.'s Healthcare Horror Stories Ought To Curb Dems' Enthusiasm for Single-Payer

TD is over 65, I believe.

In that case, I'm sure he will be able to tell us how wonderful it was to go on the open market and get Health Coverage at his age and how great it was 'shopping around' to get the lowest price. He's probably anxious to tell this story ... and I know I am anxious to hear it.

Dear moron; I was BORN and lived in Germany.

Wo? Wann? Warum? Let me guess: Army brat who was back stateside before you have any recollection of the country? If not, then you should know well that Germany's healthcare system is something to envy -- not only does it cost a lot less than the US system, per capita, but it covers the whole population and achieves markedly and measurably better public health outcomes than the US has... all without the endless red tape you get in the US, where half the bills turn into fights among various competing for-profit interests about who will pay for what.

My girlfriend and most of my best friends are Canadians and have lived in Canada.

Hehe. I had a gay friend in high school who also had a "Canadian girlfriend," back before he had the nerve to come out of the closet.

Anyway, when you were up there, did you get a chance to see the old folks from the US who come by bus to fill their prescriptions at reasonable prices?

I probably have been to more countries than you could ever hope to see in your pathetic miserable lifetime as well.

I seriously doubt it. My guess is your idea of an exotic trip is driving a few miles from your stinking cow town to the nearest decent city, and if you've ever set foot outside the US, it was either a brief trip to a canned vacation spot somewhere like Cancun, or a business trip or military tour where you never had exposure to the local population outside the corporate compound or military base.

I can't you moron; it is MANDATORY. I do wish you had a fucking brain Jackoff.

No, no, no Pumpkin. Turn it down! No one can force you to enroll in Medicare. Unless of course, you like to talk out of both sides of your mouth.
(God! I hope you are not a secret Communist) :(

Prisons are the most Socialist places in America, ... that's why they are also the most racist places.

Inmates are typically healthy, strong, younger males. There are relatively little medivac chopper costs, or ambulance crew costs, ... and few women and children. Yet the Icon of Socialist States, Cali., ... spends triple the national average and double the per capita rate, ... and that's where we are all headed if Socialism wins.

California sets the bar for Dem socialism.

Prisons are places that, by definition, are full of people with mental problems. They also have a lot of people with substance abuse history, and people who came from poverty. All those things drive up healthcare costs, as does prison violence, and the exacerbation of mental problems from confinement.

Fortunately, we aren't forced to stick with the poor analogy to prisons, since we have about three dozen other wealthy nations that all have more socialized healthcare systems than ours. We can simply look to them, in terms of how much they spend, per capita, on healthcare, as well as how they compare in terms of measurable public health outcomes (life expectancy, infant and childhood mortality, maternal mortality, incidence rates over various diseases, obesity, etc.)

I believe you have pegged (no pun intended) Truth Detector correctly. (There's a reason he picked a Cow as an Avatar)

California demonstrates how it actually works out in the U.S., ... not in other countries, like the all white Aryan Nations that the Left adores.

And Cali spends triple the national average, ... and double the per capita average. Your excuses are illogical. You have been hoisted on your own petard. Get over it.

There you go with the asinine assumptions again; but alas, you seem to be quite full of them, almost as much as you are of yourself. I lived there ongoing until I was in my 20's snowflake. Half my family reside there as my mom was German.

You really do need to attempt to extract that fat head from your asshole dear.

There is NOTHING to envy you brain dead buffoon. Germans pay more for EVERYTHING and have confiscatory tax rates. They have miserable dental, much like the English and long waiting times for any kind of major surgery.

I am amused when idiots like you believe the moronic claims that they pay less. EVERYTHING costs more there and the time you wait for care is also a cost.

Their healthcare system is currently bankrupting a country that can no longer extract more taxes from it's citizens than it already does, therefore, they CUT services and specialization to control their costs.

Hehe. I had a gay friend in high school who also had a "Canadian girlfriend," back before he had the nerve to come out of the closet.

Absurdity; the last refuge for ignorance and stupidity. Yay you!

Anyway, when you were up there, did you get a chance to see the old folks from the US who come by bus to fill their prescriptions at reasonable prices?

While I was down here I had a high school friend visit who was basically wheel chair bound waiting for her hip replacement. She finally got it about a year later. Gotta love that Nationalized system eh snowflake? STFU; it's obvious you're too stupid to know what you are bloviating about.

As for drugs, they wouldn't have cheap drugs if not for our innovation and inventing them. How much innovation and ingenuity comes from Government controlled systems? NADA dumbfuck. That is in the realm of a profit driven free market.

I do wish you had a brain.

Absurdity; the last resort of buffoons, ignoramuses and idiots. Yay you!

Here's the list so far; Canada (4 Provinces) Germany, Holland, England, France, Spain, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Greece (parents lived there for a while), Thailand, Cambodia, Mexico, Barbados, Antigua, Grenada, Aruba, Curacao, Saint Marten, Martinique, British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Most of French Polynesia including Bora Bora, Huahine, Moorea, Raiatea and Tahiti.

I also have a private pilots license and am dive certified. Beat that you insufferable pathetic cretinous, self inflated know-it-all.

You would be wrong as usual JackOff; you never seem to tire of being a clueless weird dumbfuck on a political blog.

I'm guessing you have either a souvenir coffee mug or T-shirt from each 4 hour stop-over?

Real 'Socialized' medicine comes with Government owned Hospitals (like VA Hospitals).
Real 'Socialized' medicine comes with Government paid Doctors and Nurses (like the ones Veterans see).

'Medicare for All' doesn't have ANY of that. 'Medicare for All' solely removes "FOR PROFIT" Insurance Companies, and replaces it with a "NON PROFIT" Insurance company.

(keep drinking the Kool-Aide J. Craft, looks like they did a pretty good job on you)

Actually, Medicare for All is a half-assed improvement, albeit better than nothing.

We need REAL SOCIALIZED MEDICINE like the UK's National Health Service.

This country has been sliding closer and closer to third world status due to too many half-assed concessions to the troglodytes.

BINGO!

Right on the button.

Give the man a Kewpie Doll.

But...ya gotta work your way there. Trying to go in one fell-swoop is to court disaster.

I agree. But like was mentioned earlier, Republicans would just 'starve' it. There needs to be a national commitment.

"A Healthy Country is a Strong Country", you know, something that the knuckle-draggers could latch on to.

A few years ago I was reading a talk with the Koch bros. They were discussing the mess that is America's health care system. The questioner asked him"how can you defend America's health care system when it is compared to the universal health care systems in other industrialized countries. " he said, don't worry about that, we are taking care of that". It was ominous., and I thought no way they can destroy other countries health care . Seems I was wrong.

You do realise that there is a pretty healthy private healthcare system as well, many companies offer health insurance as part of their package.

Sure, I'm sure there are supplements and stuff. I think it's a good overall system though and I'd go for it in a second. These tactics do not scare me at all.
