I think everyone saw Nixon as he was in the end. And I certainly make no excuses for him even though I voted for him

I just voted for the one who said they were going to end the Vietnam war- and he did do that!

But, you have to admit Donald Takes the cake- when it comes to him and Nixon!

When Trump is dragged out of the White House with him screaming "But Hillary- But Obama- But liberals- But the Mexicans", while he is dragging his claws across the carpet like a Tom Cat being dragged by his tail, it will still be a pity to see it come down like that, and it will also be a sad day because America had to experience all of this again!

And yet, people will be out dancing in the streets singing, "Ding Dong- The Witch Is Dead"! LOL!

But the truth is Donald Trump brought all of this on himself, and no one can blame anyone else for anything but him!

I think a lot of well intentioned voters went Nixon because of his VN promise sure, but an end to the war was WELL underway after the events of '67 and '68, Nixon was a bystander that point

but holy hell yeah, Trump is so much worse I literally believe he should be executed like McVeigh (who by comparison was a choir boy)

I have seven! And even the youngest ones have been talking more and more about how they feel Donald Trump has some serious problems.

Don't think for a minute that Grade School kids don't see for themselves what's going on here!

And my College age grand children all called me and reminded me to vote Democrat this time out!

The nightmare was over. Having Nixon living in prison would have caused it to endure...with his faithful causing as much damage as possible.

I despised damn near everything Nixon stood for...but I would have pardoned him if I had the power.
 
I think you Trump supporters need to get past the realization that your president will end up getting himself impeached by the House......

....And move onto worry about whether Congress will let him remain in the White House and live out his term.

Because he is already a long gone daddy!

Right now- the Republican led Congress is struggling with their own constituents over it, and are choosing up which way they want to go- as we speak.

If McConnell ends up getting the votes to remove him from office- You know which way he will go!

How would it have caused the nightmare to endure? And what damage were his faithful doing?

I think pardoning Nixon set a bad standard for accountability, and Conservatives have since exploited that because they know they won't be held to account for their actions...so they'll just continue pushing the envelope.

I think that if Nixon were denied a pardon and locked in prison with the rest of the general population for the rest of his life, we wouldn't have the problems with Conservatives that we have today. They'd be too scared of the accountability.
