He and his fellow Republicans OWN this shut-down. And I suspect they will own the cave-in that they will almost certainly have to face in order to end it.

The Dems should insist that the deal Trump originally agreed to...be passed and sent to his desk for signature. If he vetoes it...they should over-ride the veto.

Yup...the Republicans should be put in that position...to support an over-ride of a presidential veto...of a president of their own party. The Republican Party has EARNED the shit they are heaping on themselves because of their support for this disgusting abomination in the White House.

Problem is, nobody cares who owns the shutdown but the six people on the planet who are affected by it. Why does it appear like democrats care more about aliens than voters on this?

The US Department of Transportation, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Federal Aviation Administration regulate the market in order to ensure that travel is as safe as possible.

Right now, TSA agents and Border Security agents are working to protect air travel, and our borders, and they are doing it without pay. They won't be able to do that for very long. These dedicated public servants also have bills to pay. If this shut down lasts too long, those people are going to have to abandon their efforts and look for work that comes with a paycheck.

We depend on these people for our safety.

They are doing a good job.

They deserve to be paid.
