I have the very distinct impression of you on Fullpolitics, questioning the veracity of Kerry's missions to cambodia, buying into some of the innuendo about how he got his medals, and enabling the swiftboater campaign with regard to "why doesn't kerry release his medical records".
I spent time suggesting that he should not be attacked for his service regardless. Although the "Christmas in Cambodia" stuff was total rubbish. Exaggeration takes nothing away from what he did.

This was never a reason why McCain lost to Bush, such suggestion is total hackery. Although I think the "push-polling" was definitely detrimental, it concerned his daughter not his service.
Yeah, that I said we shouldn't attack Kerry for his service. That's very "revealing".

McCain also claims he was going to be appointed as Admiral before he went to Vietnam .. another known lie.

Total BS. I was not a "swiftboater". I argued against their attacks because I believed that Kerry would gain support from attacking a veteran, just as I know McCain will.
The closest I got to it was saying he wasn't in Cambodia in Christmas, while agreeing his logs showed he was there in February.
That I am, but I am not a "swiftboater".

His service was not the reason he lost to Bush. I think he dropped out because of Cindy's drug use getting out...
I think it is disingenuous to suggest it was the service record that knocked him out of the race. Most people have never heard at all about the stuff you keep putting out there.
As I said, it will backfire and only harm those you seek to help.
I think it is modern politics being played, but it is not how your candidate wants to play it. I personally find it interesting how people who can be so upset over Kerry would actually use information from the same dude "against" McCain.

Appreciate the honor .. but it ain't my message. There are lots of people saying it .. including some republicans and Ross Perot whgo took care of McCain's wife while he was captured and after she had an accident .. then McCain came home and swiftly dumped her.

But I think the swiftboat dude makes stuff up, and repeating his stuff is just plain weak, and will work against the man you want to win. Just as I believe it worked against Bush. It's never good to attack a veteran on his service, I think it will always backfire, thankfully.

No, what you said was silly. "Show me an ad" is silly and doesn't confirm anything you've said. Show me an ad that suggested McCain had a black child. Obviously no ad doesn't mean a damn thing.
There doesn't have to be an ad, not then, not now, for the information to get dispersed and become effective.
I agree that many have not heard of the information .. all the more reason to put it out there.
And your admonition that this will backfire and help McCain .. it sure didn't help his ass when Bush and Rove attacked his record and it didn't prevent Bush and Rove from winning the election.
