Christ sacrificed Himself on the cross to erase your bad KARMA

Jesus Christ was apolitical except to admonish us to pray for our leaders.

pretty lame deflection

let's put it this way - would Jesus support a leader that hated the poor, tortured immigrants, cut health care services, cut food assistance for the poor and defunded their schools, all before lunch?

or would he simply tell you to get over it, go home and pray for the asshole?

you sound like an idiot

Jesus forgot the safeword.

Hardly. Jesus followed the plan, even though He could have stopped it at any time, but His death was necessary to the salvation of mankind. Peter used his sword to cut off the ear of one the Roman Soldiers that came to arrest the Christ. The Christ rebuked Peter saying If I wanted to be saved I could have requested from heaven 12 Legions of Angels (72,000). Then He goes on to explain why He must be arrested and ultimately die on the sacrificial cross. If the arrest had not been allowed to occur the Prophecy of God could not have been fulfilled....God had a plan, Jesus followed that plan. -- Matt. 26:47-56, Mark 14:43-52, Luke 22:47-53, John 18:2-12.

Unlike Father Abraham.....God held the hand of Abraham from offering up his son as a sacrifice for mankind (God wanted to prove the faith of Abraham). God remembered His promise, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son...…." This time God did not stay the hand of the executioner, the perfect Lamb that was required to fulfill the Law of Moses had to be sacrificed for the salvation of mankind. Thus, the 2 Books The Old and the New. Under the old....there was no perfect sacrifice, no man walked this earth without sin nor blemish, thus the annual sacrifice to carry over the sins until next season. Under the New Law......that perfect sacrifice has been offered and accepted fulfilling the requirements under THE LAW. Today we live and have the chance at salvation through GRACE...a gift from God the Father.

The teachings of Christ are one of the real reasons that idiots like you are not dragged out into the street and hung or put on fire. How about you and the rest that think like you get you sorry sniveling asses to church and think about that.

oh that's a SUPER Christian post hater!

lol funny watching you filthy right wing haters parading around like Jesusheads............hilarious!

The analogy is of an earthly (carnal) event.

God is not trying to imprison people, beat people, torture people while waiting for people to come willingly to accept his offer of freedom from the bondage of sin and eternal death.
He extends 'common grace' to all us sinners...beauty of his sunrises and sunsets, enjoying the sounds of his birds singing, the smell of the salt air on his oceans, the softness of a dove.
He's quite merciful as he waits.

If one chooses not to accept his offer of forgiveness, love, peace for all eternity then that's your choice. He's God, we're not. And, you do have a voice in the matter.
God has said that he sets before us two roads. Life or death. Then he even gives us the answer key........"Choose life".
Good advice.

what the fuck would some right wing hater know about God?

are you being serious??

Jews believe Christianity to be idolatry and paganism.

For example, Christians worship a virgin born man-god, a god that is intrinsically more than one but extrinsically one, and the vicarious atonement (scapegoating).

The paganism in Christianity is the Christian belief and worship of the triple persons of god.

The Torah in specific and the Tanakh in general rejects such heinous beliefs.

Or.….allow Peter to slay His captors. Jesus had no choice....God cannot lie, He kept His promises made to Father Abraham, the prophecy was fulfilled. Jesus prayed about it.....so intense was His prayers that He sweated Blood asking His Father to let this cup pass from Him.

No, Jesus was a masochistic who enjoyed getting whipped because Mary used to give him lots of spankings.

You are obviously young. Everything is not about 'social justice' as this millennial generation seems to think.
Christ is not an SJW. He is not a politician. He is God. He is Spirit. Our lives are brief here.
He has said that "in this life you will have tribulation (trouble)."
He came to earth the 1st time to bring a salvation message.
Next time He will come as judge.

"The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness, He is patient with you, not wanting you to perish, but everyone come to repentance." -- 2 Peter 3:9
"This is good, and pleases God our savior, who wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the TRUTH." -- 1 Tim. 2:3-4

I've heard arguments supporting both positions, re: Crucifixion vs. resurrection. To me it is not that important as they are both inextricably linked.

It's true. From his birth in Bethlehem to his death on the cross, the entire prophecy with every event had to be fulfilled in Him.

Christianity is a death cult. They celebrate the death of Jesus and their biggest symbol is the vehicle of Jesus' death.

I was raised catholic, 6 years of catholic school, but quit at age 12. Sorry, logic already had me by 12

That is the Catholic way. Christianity celebrates the risen Christ. No more sacrifices. It is finished. He is the living risen Lord God.

All Jesus had to do was leave town.

Jesus came to be the fulfillment of OT prophecy. His love was so great for the lost and he had to be that final living sacrifice to conquer sin, death and hell. He bore it all for us. He took the punishment that should have been for us and purchased our freedom. All we have to do is accept the gift of life that he paid for.

Non-Jews living in observance of the Seven Noahide Laws.

there are hundreds, maybe even thousands, of Noahides, and most, like the Longs, are former Christians who’ve turned their backs on the faith. This is not the first time the world has seen a community of "Righteous Gentiles" who center their beliefs around Judaism, but Long and his fellow Noahides represent the first modern attempt to take that 2000-year-old body of theoretic writings and bring it to life as a worldwide movement. And for that, they can largely thank the vision of one 20th-century Jewish thinker: Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the late Lubavitcher rebbe.
