Bernie wins New Hampshire!

Hence, it's all baseless conjecture.

It just sounds to me like you think you must be accommodated because you think yours is the vote that matters.

I'm telling you that it doesn't. Not when we can replace moderate voters at a nearly 2:1 clip with non-voters motivated for things like Medicare for All or a federal jobs guarantee. So they no longer have to work shitty jobs in order to get health care.

Anecdote forthcoming; I have a young friend who is 26 and who is a very accomplished and talented costume designer. He gets so many requests for commissions that he has to turn them down because he needs to work 35 hours a week at a bike shop at $15/hr in order to have health care. He also has student loans that he's paying, in addition to the premiums/deductibles/copays he pays for his health care.

If student debt was forgiven, and we had Medicare for All, he could quit the bike shop and start his own business and succeed because he is talented.

Only two candidates offer that, so who do you think he is going to vote for, and how many other people do you think are in that same situation?

This is the empathy that billionaires simply don't have because of how insulated they are.

Your obsession with race and getting everything in life for free, along with your false accusations, reduces everything you say to mindless yapping,

You talk in a lot of generalities, and you know from my posts here that I consider those tactics lazy.

If you want to vote for Trump so bad, vote for Trump. I'm not going to stop you.

OMG, we ran a moderate in 2016 and she lost.

We ran moderate candidates in 2014 and we lost the Senate.

We ran moderate candidates in 2010 and we lost the House.

How much losing do we need to go through before you realize the problem is "moderation"?

Where are the links to your sources?

Where are links to your proof that whoever you're talking about in '10 and '14 lost because they weren't far enough to the left?

I've explained to you more than once the real reasons why HRC lost in '16 and it wasn't because she was too moderate.

But you just pretend like it just went in one ear (or eye in this case) and out the other.

Sounds to me like you're just another extremist agenda pusher.

Like so many others on forums like this one.

Post some links to back up your claims.

If it walks like a duck it's a duck

His views are right inline with republicans. Sorry, he the reason dems can't move forward.

The dem party has a large tent but if it keeps supporting republican ideas how do we move forward?

I mean this thread has definitely dragged the Republican out of him; the same self-aggrandizing, self-important accommodation seeking.

Like, take a seat pal. You had your chance in 2016 and you blew it. You had your chance in 2014 and you blew it. You had your chance in 2010 and you blew it.

That's a lot of blowing.

Where are the links to your sources?

WTF are you talking about?

So now you're going to deny that Clinton lost in 2016?

So now you're going to deny that we lost the Senate in 2014?

So now you're going to deny that we lost the House in 2010?

Have you not been paying attention the last ten years? Wake up, dude.

They keep thinking republicans are going to do the right thing or IT'S HOW THEY WANT THINGS TO BE

In 2010, the Democratic Party ran against Obamacare. It ran against Obama.

In 2014, Democrats were wiped out in the Senate and the campaign message was one of establishment moderation which produced such "wonderful" candidates like Michelle Nunn and Alison Grimes, and such "wonderful" incumbents like Begich and Pryor and Landrieu and Hagan.

What is the common thread among those people? WHITE MODERATES.

I've explained to you more than once the real reasons why HRC lost in '16 and it wasn't because she was too moderate.

It's exactly because she was too moderate because moderate = status quo = establishment, and as I told you, the establishment has largely ignored the people at the bottom in favor of rich donors and billionaires.

Sounds to me like you're just another extremist agenda pusher.

If it's extreme to listen to the people at the bottom, who far outnumber the people at the top, then I guess I'm an extremist.

nAHH, He's using the racist right wing tactic of show proof........when you do, they dismiss the source.

It's a game the racist right plays and moderate dems join in

I don't understand what "links" you want, and demanding accommodation is what Conservatives do.

You know I'm a liberal, and you know I'm progressive, and you know I'm honest in what I post. You've liked and thumbs upped my posts plenty of times. I don't think it's merely because I'm giving shit to Conservatives.

If you don't think that the Democratic Party ran from its liberal base in 2010 and 2014, then again in 2016, then I don't know what to say to you.

If "moderation" was appealing or worked, we'd have a Democratic President and a fully Democratic Congress.

You know why the Begich's and Hagan's of the world aren't in the Senate anymore?

Because when given the choice of a Republican or a Democrat pretending to be a Republican by either attacking Obama, or attacking Obamacare, or attacking Medicare for All WHICH IS IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY'S PLATFORM MOTHERFUCKERS, that voter's going to vote for the Republican every time.

He repeats the lies that Black people didn't come out to vote so Hilary lost......by 70,000 people. IF only Blacks had come out to vote like they did when President Obama ran..........Clinton would have won.

Apparently your little gay friend is as selfish and self centered as the rest of his/your generation, as he'd/you'd be willing to explode the federal budget and cause economic ruin to the rest of the country just for the sake of his/your own comfort and convenience.

If he has to sew fewer drag queen costumes or whatever it is he does, in order to sell bicycles at the exorbitant salary of $15 an hour to pay for his insurance, then so be it.

C'est la vie.

I'm 62 y/o and with the exception of a few years in the 70's and a few years in the 90's, I've never even had health insurance.

So don't expect sympathy out of me for your delicate little flower of a friend's situation.

You all truly are the entitlement mentality generation.

You've been so molly-coddled by your weak, kow-towing, helicopter parents that you can't function normally or deal with the hardships and harsh realities of adult life, so you have to have everything handed to you on a satin pillow so you won't have to be less than comfy.

Pathetic.

I mean this shit only happened 10 years ago...it's not ancient history. We remember how the Democratic Party negotiated against itself for Obamacare, and we remember how the Democrats ran against that very bill just 7 months later.

We also remember how caving in and showing "moderation" and "bipartisanship" by agreeing to that awful Sequester didn't save the Democratic majority in the Senate in 2014.

The problem is because we keep listening to people who have been consistently wrong about the politics from the beginning. Every calculation, every triangulation they made was done to almost mimic what helped Clinton in the 90's. But what they failed to accept is that the 2010's were nothing like the 1990's, so the same calculations and conventional wisdom didn't apply. Not when the GOP became an intransigent party of fascists and criminals.

I don't think there will ever be a time when we will have "bipartisanship" in the spirit they want; instead, what we have is class warfare masquerading as "bipartisanship", and all the action in that class warfare is waged by the rich on everyone else...and who are rich people 100% of the time? Billionaires.

If turnout was 60%, the electoral college wouldn't have mattered. All we need to do is get 4.7M more voters to the polls this year than in 2016, and we will not only win the White House, but flip the Senate too.

You don't get turnout on small ideas or "moderation".

I never attributed the 70,000 votes to blacks.

That took place in rural Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, places not known for their high concentrations of blacks.

But we've all become accustomed to what a sleazy liar you are, so NBD. :dunno:
