Coronavirus stay-at-home orders stir protests nationwide

There isn't much else I can add to this terrifying and truthful post. Maybe just this: If more of our citizens had been educated in science, they would have a deeper understanding of how this virus works -- and why, at this point, our only hope is to maintain the shut-down until (maybe) a vaccine is created. I've been reading medical journal articles about how this virus infects humans. It's even more horrific than what you posted. And this is why *we* are going to maintain social distancing despite what governments declare is good.

No doubt. This reality truly sucks but we cannot be fools to survive this.

What is priceless is a member who has well over 21,000 posts and never, ever started a single thread. :bleh:

 I also find it priceless when the pathetic creature gets a very hard and public spanking from one of the mods for lying, and then the next day bumps the thread so we can all enjoy her humiliation for the second time. Incredibly priceless!

Seriously, what kind of pathology does someone like that suffer from?

Remind me to tell you about the only threads she ever started, on our old forum, and why and what happened to them. :rofl2:

I’ll be back amongst it within a month and I don’t loose sleep over it.

Who would have thought this country would be overthrown by fear and not an invading army. Previous generations of Americans would consider us an embarrassment.

This is a once in multi generational event. Previous generations would have done the same thing. The Pandemic of 1918 is an historical example.

15,000 cars?

Sounds utterly implausible and totally exaggerated

I am calling it out as teabagger wishful thinking

Keyword "expected". Still, this is America where even poor families have three cars....albeit one is up on blocks in front of their trailer.

It's not like they're going to car pool there; everyone will drive on their own, but it won't be a parade. Should be a good day to sell parking spots for $20/each.

You don't even have to go back that far. Just go to early 2013 when so many people panicked that Obama was comin' for their guns the ammo shelves were bare for months.

Fuck them. Have some balls for Christ's sake and stop whining like a fucking Liberal pink hat wearing Metrosexual.

So fucking brave. Tell you what Mr. basement dwelling he man, go fucking volunteer at an ER without masks or any protection. Show them Pink liberal Metrosexuals how a 'real' dumb ass can die, I mean do... Please vlog it so we can watch a red blooded Covid genetic cul de sac snuff film in action.

Yeah that's just propaganda manipulation by the hater class, this shits on a whole other level since there's no party to lol, hate.

Yes. I know that it's human nature to think that if we have survived something that has killed others, we first feel survivor's guilt (most of us anyways), and then we feel like it must have been something we did that made the difference between life, and no life. With COVID, it's purely the luck of the genetic draw. Here is a story of two married physicians who both got COVID; one was hospitalized and the other not.

Most of us are not willing to roll the dice and gamble that we will be one of the genetically-lucky ones who have a mild case. #COVID45 can bellow all he wants about his power to force ppl back into a pre-COVID life. We are not going to do it until we are confident that it won't kill us.

Why should I? Let'em die. That's what you just advocated so you are agreeing with me.

You don't even have to go back that far. I remember the parental worry -- in Mom's case more like panic -- when polio was making the rounds, and I was just a little kid back then. Parents didn't take their children with them to go shopping or the zoo or other public venues. Swimming pools were closed in the summer. My brothers bitched because they couldn't play basketball and baseball with other kids.

When is the X-parade?

All correct. While it is truly sad to see pictures of morgues over-flowing with bodies, the fact remains the fatality rate is only about 1% meaning 99% of us will live.

Glad I wasn't planning on going to gridlocked Trumpling Michigan city...

Hey guess what, Republicans are protesting. Wipe my tears laughing.
