Do you believe you have a right to not catch a virus?

Is that a right you believe you have? Who thinks they have a God given right to not get sick?

I have a God given right to try to avoid getting sick, and more importantly passing that sickness on to others. I have an obligation to try to use my God given intelligence to avoid this disease.

Why are you opposed to any of this?

I don't have any problem with you doing whatever you feel you need to do in order to avoid getting sick. I applaud that.

However, where I draw the line is when you want to piously try to impose your beliefs onto me. Why are you opposed to that? If I don't want to wear a mask that is my business. If you think me wearing a mask is a threat to you, then stay away from me. I won't force my presence on you. You see that is how freedom of association works.

Now why are you opposed to that? Why do you feel your right to avoid getting sick is greater than my right to not to want to walk around with a mask that I don't feel provides any value?

I have a right to protected from highly infectious virus which can be deadly.

Protected how? Protect yourself? Or protected by the government? Does that right include infringing on the rights of others?

Elaborate. Be specific. There aren't any wrong answers if you aren't afraid of being honest

Im not against you doing that. STAY locked up in your house,.... have zero contact with anyone. Dont even go outside for the next ten years. You are free to do that,...... so DO THAT.

You don't have the right to infect others with covid19. How much more explicit can I be?

Who said I did?

I am not trying to purposefully trying to infect anyone. If I don't wear a mask and you are and you are more than six feet away from me, how are you at risk to get infected?

I have the right to wear a mask or not wear a mask. I am not telling you that you shouldn't wear one.

You not wearing a mask can spread the virus. Feel free to do whatever you want when no other human being is around.

If you are six feet away from me and wearing a mask, how likely are you to catch the virus?

If you still think that you can catch the virus while wearing a mask AND being six feet away from me, all things YOU can control then you don't have much faith in those mitigation methods do you?

Thanks for playing along.

I am still not wearing a mask

I hope you are stopped by police and heavily fined.

I don't think this is the proper phrasing. A better question would be: "Does the state have the right to force most businesses to close under the auspice of preventing the spread of a disease?"

I think the answer is not a simple yes or no, but rather conditional and limited in time and scope.

Many states have engaged in various policies that are questionable in their constitutionality. At the very least, legislation should be required for the enforcement of certain restrictions. Simply handing unlimited power to a governor is a recipe for dictatorship.

Granted, I know exactly why many states have done this. The idea is that, if things go horribly wrong, blame the governor while sparing the legislature of any responsibility. These lawmakers love few things more than to pass the buck. We see a similar trend in the Congress.

They think they have a lot of extra rights, and entitlements. It's how the leftist mind works.

BTW your signature has been spot on this whole time.

If the left is particularly concerned about social distancing and isolation for the purpose of maintaining as little spread of the virus as possible, why is it that the same people also advocate keeping the border open during all of this?

If anything, maintaining open immigration and sanctuary policies completely undermines any potential gains from isolation due to the introduction of people that aren't typically screened for the virus and could easily be carriers.

There is surely a massive amount of cognitive dissonance being engaged by the left on this issue.
