Two weeks after ending lockdown, Texas sees surge in cases

Lol being entertained by obsessive lunatics that blame me for the virus instead of China?

I guess my sides might split. Death by a thousand laughs though I hear laugher is the best medicine so...

You're not prepared to accept any responsibility because no one in your life ever challenged you to be a better version of who you truly are.

Two weeks after ending lockdown, Texas sees surge in cases

The single day surge (May 15) followed by ???

May 13: 1636
May 14: 1273
May 15: 2012
May 16: 885
May 17: 1005
May 18: 1007

A one-day surge was followed by the next three days 50% lower than that single-day surge and lower than the days before the surge. It returned to a level seen during most of April-May.

Which justifies reopening the economy, how?

Well just be omnipresent. How is it you got to the point of screeching about Trump. You seem obsessed with what this man does yet to infuriated to do anything about it.

too. There is plenty I can do about it. We will vote his sorry ass out of office in November. And then we will vote out the spineless cowardly Republican enablers who allowed him to stay in office and almost destroy the country.

You thread ban me because you're a little bitch, and no one will ever forget how defensive you got when I started going after your loneliness.

It was really funny...you totally flipped out and threw a tantrum, demanding how I found out that you're a filthy, disease-ridden loner.

You're not a very complex person, so it was pretty easy to figure out that you're completely by yourself.

I mean, who in the world would want to spend any time with you? No one. The only interaction you get is on JPP. Otherwise, you're completely alone.

So obviously a lockdown would be the worst thing in the world for you because it would mean you have to be alone with just your thoughts...and that's pretty scary for you.

Considering you follow me around this board like a lost puppy......

I live rent free inside your head

The difference between you and me is I don't give you a second thought. I can cut you off. You are nothing to me. But you are obsessed with me so much so that you spend hours thinking about my personal life. Now how sick is that?

His supporters will vote him in. He never had you so you won't to anything. You probably didn't vote for him in 2016.

You're moronic party spent 4 years impeaching him then gratified yourself on an impending blue wave which was more of a ripple.

And you are becoming more and more enraged.

If you wanted him out why didn't you pick somebody other than that reanimated corpse?

We all vote. Not just you.

I never said it justifies re-opening the economy. I never made any predictions or statements about re-opening the economy. You argued with me about stuff I never discussed. I was just pointing out that a single-day surge does not show a trend you can attribute to a partial re-opening. In my area I see little difference between before and after. Most people are behaving about the same--I see just as many masks, reluctance to visit doctors and hospitals (especially for elective surgery).

I am like you. Neither of us have dined in a restaurant for 2 months.

Not sure where you got your numbers, not from this site. I went to the Texas site that is linked from worldmeters. In the last week, there were three days when total reported cases exceeded ANY day previously in Texas. As I mentioned earlier after looking more closely at county data that you can conclude that this spike may be a result of additional testing in high risk areas, but it IS a spike. Still, your numbers are simply wrong.

May 15th: 1347
May 16th: 1801
May 17th: 785
May 18th: 909

So as of today, the rolling five day average is 1,258, which is higher than all but two SINGLE DAY counts in Texas prior to this uptick.

The Trump cult is shrinking. Trump will be gone in November.

You voted for and coddled Trump, and Trump's expected poor response caused the deaths and unemployment. So how are you not to blame?
No a virus mixed with underlying conditions caused the death. Moronic over reaction of governors caused unemployment.

Trump isn't a god.

The total cases is up because the total testing has increased. The rate is positivity is decreasing (the positive tests /total tests) the rate of hospitalization has not increased and the daily death rate has decreased significantly. ALL positive signs. Also Texas combines positive antibody tests with positive COVID tests and the antibody test has been recently made available in Texas. A relative of mine got one last week. His was negative but it it had been positive it would have been counted as a positive case even if the infection had occurred months ago. So if you think the up tick in raw positive cases numbers

means anything you are sadly mistaken. I’m a Texas resident and a Doctor and follow the situation very closely
