I have had many interactions with police over my lifetime. Most have been professional. Only one was not. I'll let you guess which one I remember the most.

Police have a rough job. They must be perfect. When they aren't buttholes like you with all day to review it and hindsight, pass judgment on them. You don't feel the fear the danger the anxiety that they do at the time. Still sometimes they make bad decisions. Some are really really bad. This was one of those.

Kaepernick lost his heart. The arm and legs were still good but the desire/fire was gone. He lost nothing that he wouldn't have lost within a couple seasons. He made tons of money and gained the most notoriety of all QBs in the league.....good and bad.

Agreed. An innocent man died because a police officer was careless. One life lost, one ruined and probably will go to jail.

Agreed police have a tough job, but the Spider-Man rule prevails: "With great power comes great responsibility". Some people have noted that Floyd had health problems unknown to the officer. Ignorance is not an excuse to kill someone one, even accidentally. Officer Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for "8 minutes and 46 seconds, with 2 minutes and 53 seconds of that occurring after Floyd was unresponsive." A jury will now figure it out, but IMO, that's unacceptable behavior on the part of the police since it's excessive force.

An interesting perspective of Kap. I always thought he was a second-rate football player who lucked into becoming a celebrity and then cashed in on a $30M payday. Like Obama, Kap is white....except for the racists who believe in the "one drop of blood" rule. Like Rachel Denzel, both identify culturally as "black"....and both got rich off of doing so.

Protests are sparking up in my neighborhood now jeez. Blowing the dust off my gear now. Might have to camp out at the shop tonight. This sucks.

Over a million of those who receive SNAP (food stamp) benefits are current and former military.* It's pretty unlikely that many of them vote blue, eh?
