They give good, honest policemen a bad name, but because they are part of the force, little can be done to remove them. This cop had lots of complaints and should have been confined to a desk or fired. The people who allowed his presence were responsible for this death too as they knew who he was.

The whole point of these discussions is to gain a better understanding and insight into how others feel, not to unload frustrations, anger, resentment, etc. Go into this with a positive outlook and come out better informed.

Trying to 'fix other posters' is usually a lesson in futility. They have to do it themselves. The best we can do is lead by example.

I wasn't always the polite poster I am here. When I joined up here I decided to try to meet a high goal. It was more of a challenge at first, but after it became habit I don't have to think about it much. I still do write things that I don't post, and later soften them. I guess one of the good habits is listening to that little voice that says: 'Better let that one sit a while and reconsider it...' Usually when I do that the original post does not end up being the final post, and it may be tossed out entirely.
