List of GOOD things that Bush did

Obsessively fixating on the "unborn" while supporting wars that kill the already living, laughing, and feeling children. Slashing worker protections. Favoring big business over the laborer. Stripping consumer rights. Decimating the Superfund so that poor communities are polluted and left for dead. Obsessing over other people's sex lives, instead of minding their own backyards and underaged, pregnant daughters. Lying on environmental reports at the expense of the citizenry. Relaxing air-quality and emission standards. Torturing people.

I could go on, but as you point out...there are so many.

Conservative values include self-reliance, earning the things that we value and want, delaying gratification, saving, charity and helping the needy, understanding that there is a higher power than ourselves, never shirking from praising the good in others and putting the spotlight on bad behavior.

Your response?

Well why don't I wait until you respond to my list. Since I noticed you didn't.

Who are you? Are you from the bush board? I find it hard to believe you are from a board I never posted since you have just launched at me like that. What's your problem?

Anyway, I have an appointment, see if you can get around to "responding" to these. That should keep you busy until I can get back:

Positive things Bush did:
Lower taxes
Justice appointments
Healthy Forests Initiative
Repeal of workplace ergonomics regulations
Repeal of funding for overseas abortion
Not using government money for stem cell research while doing the right thing and allowing private money to be used for it.

There isn't a lot, it's important to remember that he was also responsible for 3 of the worst things any Conservative would ever want passed including:
- massive amount of regulation from Sarbanes-Oxley
- largest social welfare program since the 60's in the form of the Pill Bill
- failure to cut or even stop most spending and thus pushing the entire political spectrum leftward where now we have a far left Liberal president in Obama who has managed to sell yet more and even bigger increases in government as "change"

1. For the first time in world history, Bush planted Democracy in the Arab world.
2. Liberated over 50 million people in Afghanistan and Iraq.
3. Implemented The Bush Doctrine.
4. Established the Department of Homeland Security.
5. Established TSA Airport Security.
6. Humanitarian Aid for Tsunami Relief.
7. Humanitarian Aid for Africa.
8. Saved the UN from becoming irrelevant by orchestrating 2nd largest coalition in history to topple Saddam Hussein.
9. Brought us out of the Clinton recession by cutting taxes.
10. No Child Left Behind and Clear Skies Initiative.

Denial. Delusion. Derangement.

Dixie.

Hey, speaking of which - do you remember that Clear Skies argument you were making a few years back?

That was funny....

OK, let's dispense with this dribble point by point.

Insert these answers after each of your "these." What is your objection to prenatal care? War never solved anything -- except slavery, nazism, islamofacism.... The usual liberal mantra: "business bad, business bad, business bad..." Liberals believe in government as the cure-all, while the intelligent realize that the free market creates jobs and is responsible for a doubling of the GDP every generation. The poor in this country are the richest in the world, most having cars, tv's, and owning their own homes. Our only concern over anyone else's life style is when it impinges on the rest of us: we don't care it you have sex in the street except that it would scare the horses. How ironic, an obtuse attack on Governor Palin who has more experience than Obama and wiser than Biden. Last but not least, the theory behind most of your blather is the fear that the sky is falling, that there is always some crisis that only you progressives are aware of, and need to show how much smarter you are than us. Did we save the whales? Avoid those killer African bees? Miss out on the threat of heterosexual AIDS? Now its the Global Warming -- oh, I forgot, since it got cold instead of hot, now its "climate change." BTW, when was the period in modern times that the environment was better?

I didn't mind answering since a conservative is never so tall as when he (she) stoops to educate a liberal. You're welcome.

Christ; first, it never passed. Second, if it did, it would have gutted the Clean Air Act. It was written by corporate polluters.

As one of the 'outcasts' I must say I'm impressed with a few of the first posts. GW really impressed me and left me cold. I expected him to be a 'domestic president' in 2000, undoing so many things. Instead we and he got 9/11. So the 'domestic president' turned foreign emphasis president.

With that said, he did help with AIDS in Africa, well at least he threw mega $$$ towards its ravages.

NCLB? Fuk up, big time.

Bottom line, he through policies or sheer luck, (my guess the former), ruled after 9/11, without another attack by foreign factions on the homeland.

Iraq? A success, regardless of WMD.
Afghanistan? Failure, lack of focus, perhaps in reality the ground truth?
Iran? Contrary to public opinion kept them in check, wasn't possible to do more.
North Korea? Continuation of Clinton-bad

Again; how many attacks have there been on American soil since Pearl Harbor?

Actually a few.

Japans baloon fire bombs.
And lets not forget the invasion and Japanese occupation for a time of some of the Aluetian islands.
Japanese U boats shelling on the west coast.
And the worst one, Republicans.

more than one...WTC 93 under clinton comes to mind

how can you blame bush for 9/11 and yet not congratulate him for no more attacks since? i guess one would have to have a clear case of bias....
