NJ kids with Nazi-inspired names removed from home

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) -- Three New Jersey siblings whose names have Nazi connotations have been placed in the custody of the state, police said. The children, ranging in age from 3 to under 1, were removed from their home Friday. They drew attention last month when a supermarket bakery refused to put the name of the oldest - Adolf Hitler Campbell - on a birthday cake.

State workers didn't tell police why the children were taken, police Sgt. John Harris said. A family court hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

The other two children, both girls, are JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell.

The father, Heath Campbell, had no comment when contacted by The Express-Times of Easton, Pa. The Associated Press could not locate a working telephone number for the family on Wednesday.

Kate Bernyk, a spokeswoman for the state Division of Youth and Family Services, said the agency doesn't comment on specific cases.

I am curious to see how this turns out.
I figure that bunch had problems they were better off not drawing attention to, but not smart enough....

from the clips I saw, they did not strike me as joe the plumber types for some reason.

I can't tell you how my heart just constricts when I read about this. These kids are innocent and beautiful and hate no one...and they can't get a birthday cake because of their parents. And now they have been taken away. God these poor kids.

Yeah sad that there are no intelligence or moral qualifications to be a parent.

Back to my reason for real marriage liscences that require training and testing before you can marry.

You idiot! That wasn't kindness! It was cunning! She's a Gypsy! Gypsies are not capable of real love! Think, boy! Think of your MOTHER!

Actually, if we're defending freedom, the parents had a right to NAME their children and request to purchase a cake with their son's name on it. This is fucking disturbing!

You can take someone's kid because they named them wrong? That doesn't scare you?

We don't know why they took the kids. They're not saying. It's perfectly possible they called attention to themselves from child services and they wound up being involved in some sort of activity detrimental to the children's well being.

This was not naming. This was abuse. You do not have the right to emotionally abuse your children. Despite what conservatives think, children are not property.

What do you mean children aren't property? I'm going to tell my kids the same thing I tell people who guard me on the basketball court, 'I OWN YOU!'

Should one's name be sufficent evidence to warrant an investigation?

Considering the nature of the name, one could reasonably assume their parents didn't have the best interest of the child in mind when they determined it. Besides, we also don't know what caused child protective services to begin the investigation. It could have been totally something other than the name. Perhaps a teacher witnessed something. Maybe their parents drop them off at school wearing sheets. Who knows?

Which name is the clincher? Or do you have to have both names for a score?

Can people name their kids adolf? That's just a first name! We need to know so whitey can stay informed. We can't have our future race war soldiers taken from us because of our secrect code names.

Hey, just wondering, since Saddam hussein is a universally hated historical figure, can we discriminate against people with the middle name Hussien?

Not sure how the state can justify taking the kids away because they do not like what the parents named the kids. The last time I looked, bad taste was not against the law.

I sure hope there was some other reason for this besides a fucking name. I that was the case, the authorities should have alerted them when the child was born and NAMED.

It's fricken sick to take these kids from their parents over a name. They better fucking show some abuse.

please cite specific examples of the abuse these kids suffered...come on, even libs occasionally have evidence, you can do it

They named their kid Adolf Hitler. They had no one to name him after; it was very clear that they were naming him after the mass murderer. It's not exactly some kind of secret code; you're being willfully ignorant. This is extremely, blatantly obvious, and it should be illegal.

That is emotional abuse because that kid will never be taken seriously in life.

Celebrities should be banned then as well from naming their kids.

Tough one. I think it is emotional abuse. I don't know if I agree or not. Kids aren't property but still.

It would be better if some concerned citizen just put a bullet in the parents heads. Keep the govt. out of it.
