A Confederate statue is coming down today

Statues to Americans can stay but the character edified should have context explained. Statues to traitors/losers/confederates need to be moved away from a place of prominence to a place of to a place they are merely historic novelties. Keep in mind the statues in NOLA were public health hazards in that one form of protest was to pee on them. Put up statues to notable Americans...trailblazers like Lewis and Clark or Frank Lloyd Wright or Neal Armstrong or Ansel Adams or even Mark Twain would all be great candidates. If the south truly wants to be the new south statues that are effectively to slavery need to go.
