How I feel about the upcoming election ...

What freedoms did they lose as a result of something they got for free?

The right to watch free over the air tv. They need a licence to even have a tv in their home. Worse yet im told by my good friend in the U.K that some of those funds from licences go to support the BBC. Like the old saying goes.....the BBC has more Reds in it than the Kremlin!

There is no way people getting free stuff could have built the tech that sent us to the moon. There would be no incentive. So these lefist fools don't realize, or are too stupid to realize, that taking away incentive guarantees mediocrity at best.

Free healthcare in North Korea. BTW.....Who running against the little rocket man in their next election?

That's like saying we don't have the freedom to down non-registered cars.
In the UK, you are free to own a TV. I think needing to own a TV license is stupid, but that's not an issue of freedom. It's not like the TV has been banned as a result of free healthcare.

Can you be more specific?

People on Medicare aren’t free to go just anywhere for a healthcare provider. Their choices—and hence, their freedom, is limited.

It’s a matter of degrees. That’s just one example. Once other examples come into play people will start to feel it—and ask themselves “how did this happen”?

I worked with a guy from Russia back in the mid 90's. They were so far behind us it was shocking. No incentive. He grew up on a collective farm. His dad was a carpenter there. Literally still sawing boards with a hand saw. His Dad got his first car when he was in his 60's! Only because his son that I worked with sent home the money. Back in the day you had basically 2 choices for your car. The Volga in black, or the Volga in grey. Really cut down on the decision making time...LOL

But Medicare isn't free stuff.

Why would you need a licence to own a tv? It is only another way to confiscate money. Thus a loss of freedom. Whats next,....a licence for a pair of pants? shoes? an electric razor?

When the wall came down in Germany you may have noticed that ALL the foot traffic was running one way. ;) WHY is that exactly?
