Also, the wealth gap is what it is and in trying to ‘fix it’ the government—as it/they are want to do, will only create other problems via unintended consequences. What needs to be considered is the fact our ‘poor’ have a pretty good standard of living compared to the actually really poor in other countries.
We have a class of people walking around in $100 sneakers; own flatscreens; have smart phones and etc. These people are only ‘poor’ in a relative sense.
Our real problem is with the homeless. These people are destitute and present a real challenge for local governments but it has nothing to do with a wealth gap.
