WTF is a "just economy'?

Well, he's a Socialist, not a capitalist. Mr. Badguy will be the judge of who gets what, in his libtopia.

Really?
So, Canada, Germany, Italy, Greenland, Japan, Australia, England, Argentina and what teabaggers consider socialist, they all have someone dictate where they can live?

Yes, we do, comrade janitor. Do you understand the difference between allowing people to lift themselves up and actively holding people down?

Do you understand why monopolies are illegal? That's for companies/corporations. Now apply the concept to individual human beings and you might start to understand what this topic is about.

Are people today in the United States being actively held down??

NAFTA has been successfully renegotiated by Trump to better favor the United States. Lowering business taxes and removing some oppressive regulations on business is bringing companies back to the United States; another Trump action.
You're FOS.
The didn't lower taxes at all.
It raised tariffs.
"In NAFTA, passenger vehicles were required to have 62.5% North American content, and in the USMCA that has been increased to 75%. This means that auto producers will need to source more components from the region, in addition to ensuring that 70% of the steel and aluminum used in production also comes from Canada, Mexico or the United States. On top of this—a first ever in a trade agreement—a new labor value content requirement was added that requires auto makers to have 40–45% of their auto content made by workers making at least $16 an hour. This is clearly aimed at moving production out of Mexico, which has been an important link in the North American auto supply chain".
Meanwhile Dotard is reimposing tariffs on aluminum and steel from Canada and Mexico.
70% of the steel and aluminum must come from the US, Canada or Mexico, in order to avoid tariffs.
Making autos and range of other products more expensive.
Another idiot move by Dotard, insisting at least 40% of the parts for vehicles be manufactured by people making $16 an hour.
So, instead of scaring away auto makers from Mexico to the US, automakers and component makers are paying their workers $16 an hour.
Dotard took a bad NAFTA agreement and made it worse, just like everything he touches.

I asked about the wealth gap. You responded by talking about an increase in wages.

The gap between rich & poor continued to widen, as it has for decades. And that's a problem.

Well then, the lockdowns are only exacerbating it lol.

The best way to help the poor is to provide them job opportunities; after all, the primary responsibility for becoming un-poor lies with the poor and not the government.

The common sense there is brutal, but that can’t be helped.

Also, the wealth gap is what it is and in trying to ‘fix it’ the government—as it/they are want to do, will only create other problems via unintended consequences. What needs to be considered is the fact our ‘poor’ have a pretty good standard of living compared to the actually really poor in other countries.

We have a class of people walking around in $100 sneakers; own flatscreens; have smart phones and etc. These people are only ‘poor’ in a relative sense.

Our real problem is with the homeless. These people are destitute and present a real challenge for local governments but it has nothing to do with a wealth gap.

Consumers are greedy. Corps meet their demands. Greedy Libs are the most obsessed with money, ... other people's money.

There is very little, if any, evidence of U.S. Corps murdering their workers because they demanded more money. :palm:
"Consumers are greedy"?
Nothing compared to the greed of corporations.
Most pay no taxes, a part time McDonald's employee pay's more.
Halliburton, charging $99 to do laundry a person in the armed forces used to do for 50 cents.
Drug companies?

"Greedy Libs are the most obsessed with money, ... other people's money.".
Really?
Like your dear leader, who's university was shut down, his charity, shut down and his foundation shut down because they were scams.
Dotard's filing for reelection for 2020 on his inaugural, now another $$$ making scam the, election defense fund, now talk of filing for 2024?
Separating gullible teabaggers from their $$$.
Just like his buddy Bannon did with his "build the wall" scam.

USSR millions dead
China millions dead
Cambodia
Venezuela

So, again, teabaggers are confused, like their dear leader on the difference between dictatorships and socialism.
Democratic, like most of the advanced world.
The only ones advocating for a dictatorship, are teabaggers and their dear leader.
They tried to sabotage election, closing polling places, removing ballot boxes, slowed the mail down, purging voter rolls, calling on governors to overturn election results, calling on secretaries of state to overturn election results.
It's something international election monitors alert the world to in communist countries.

Bernie has a simplistic zero sum view of wages. The TPP was bad because we would be in a trade block where international corporate lawyers decide on violations ( talk about globalism!) and our large economy would not be leveraged against smaller ones.
In this case "Might doesn't make right" but it gives us an advantage we'd lose as part of the TPP

economic nationalism is the name of the game. you can be sure China practices it

Really? Is that why every other country except for the US, entered the agreement?
"International corporate lawyers".
So, it's an international agreement.
Who would teabaggers rather have?
Rudy?

Those arguing white privilege is real are the same ones constantly blaming someone else for their failures.

Really?
Teabaggers and their dear leader were constantly blaming anyone or anything for their failures for the last four years.

Are people today in the United States being actively held down??

Yes.

The government dictates what kind of light bulb you can buy, what kind of paint you can buy, what kind of gun you can buy, what kind of gas can (requiring horrid nozzles) you can buy, what kind of gasoline you can buy, etc.
They dictate the people you are allowed to hire, require you to buy auto insurance if you own a car, lock you in your home, force you to wear a mask (even though they don't work), close some businesses as 'non-essential',

Monopolies are not illegal. They are also self destructive. Other companies come along sooner or later and build a better product or service than the monopoly could ever hope to. The only way a monopoly can be sustained is with government help.

Teabaggers like Moscow Mitch, blocked every single item democrats wanted to do, no change in Trump's regime.

It’s a problem that will never be fixed. There will always be a class of people who feel
Left out’ and there will always be politicians who will pander to them and around we go.

You're FOS.
The didn't lower taxes at all.
Trump lowered income taxes and business taxes, including corporate taxes. He also reduced regulations on businesses.
It raised tariffs.
The United States is not imposing tariffs on goods from Mexico or Canada per the NAFTA agreement.
No such requirements are in the agreement.
On top of this—a first ever in a trade agreement—a new labor value content requirement was added that requires auto makers to have 40–45% of their auto content made by workers making at least $16 an hour.
No such requirement is in the agreement.
This is clearly aimed at moving production out of Mexico, which has been an important link in the North American auto supply chain".
No. This is clearly bogus claims. Maybe you should actually read the NAFTA agreement.
Meanwhile Dotard is reimposing tariffs on aluminum and steel from Canada and Mexico.
Nope. Zero.
70% of the steel and aluminum must come from the US, Canada or Mexico, in order to avoid tariffs.
Nope. No such requirement.
Making autos and range of other products more expensive.
The falling dollar is doing that. Of course, the Canadian dollar and the Mexican peso is falling as well.
Another idiot move by Dotard, insisting at least 40% of the parts for vehicles be manufactured by people making $16 an hour.
No such requirement.
So, instead of scaring away auto makers from Mexico to the US, automakers and component makers are paying their workers $16 an hour.
No such requirement.
Dotard took a bad NAFTA agreement and made it worse, just like everything he touches.
No, you are quoting stuff that isn't there.

I asked about the wealth gap. You responded by talking about an increase in wages.

The gap between rich & poor continued to widen, as it has for decades. And that's a problem.
no you didn't ask about the wealth gao. if you want a specific answer -ask a specific question.

I just answered about the "wealth gap" -it doesn't matter and rich always do better then workers

what you should be concerned with is how the middle class does
( since poor people get gov't subsidies) and they did great under Trump

I dont think you get the idea "a rising tide lifts all ships" -all that matters

Some classes do better then others -so what?
all I care about is the middle class is doing better under Trump pre-COVID

Really? Is that why every other country except for the US, entered the agreement?
"International corporate lawyers".
So, it's an international agreement.
Who would teabaggers rather have?
Rudy?
no "every other country is not in the TPP" - the answer is bilateral and trilateral trade agreements we can enforce between parties and not before a board of lawyers
The WTO has already proven that to be unworkable grievance resolution
