I didn't know that.

Who would think Althea would be a dude?
Anyone who knows anything about the Dead would understand. Read the lyrics. Then Google my sig.

I told Althea I was feeling lost
Lacking in some direction
Althea told me upon scrutiny
That my back might need protection
I told Althea that treachery
Was tearing me limb from limb
Althea told me, now cool down boy
Settle back easy, Jim

You’d like for it to, but one isolated incident doesn’t define a whole movement.

And the movement isn’t going anywhere.
Lol. One isolated incident murdered one cop, and caused one nutter to be shot to death as she attempted to attack members of Congress.

Great point, the attorney shows up & wants to allow trump to insight an insurrection because iran spreads terrorism.....:palm:
I am glad to see you admit that Trump has more insight on terrorism than you........it is sad though that you don't care about Iran inciting it........

Sad when the terrorist states are the ones following the rules & the tyrant running the usa gets booted for advocating violence & an insurrection in his own country.......

ignorance and dishonesty like that are beneath even you..............we aren't talking about "rules".........we are arguing about arbitrary standards that reek of hypocrisy........

Jared the millennial is probably up all night writing his walking it back speech & looking for a free platform for him to join so he can get out his message to his adoring fans.

Hopefully Jared the handler will carefully check the tos to insure threats of violence & calling for violence & insurrections are not against the rules...........

because "walking back" free speech is what lib'ruls are all about, right?.........

Hello Darth,

... one isolated incident doesn’t define a whole movement.

There is no such rule. Give this incident time to really sink in. We have just witnessed a defining moment in history. Another Day of Infamy. I don't think it can be brushed off quite so easily. 1812 and 2021 now have something in common. The only two times the Capitol was overrun in a siege. The honorable United States of America Senator Cory Booker pointed out the similarities of the attackers quite eloquently:

“The parallel between the two is they were both waving flags to a sole sovereign, to an individual, surrendering democratic principle to the cultic personality,” Booker said. “One was a monarch in England and the other, with all the flags I saw all over the Capitol, including in the hallways and in this room, to a single person named Donald Trump.”

And the movement isn’t going anywhere.

If you're talking about the Trump movement then I agree. Downhill is the only place all this Trump fervor is going. There are now only three kinds of Trump supporters. Those who have given up on him, those who are going to, and those who will remain completely out of touch with reality and cling to something that is not real. The movement will die. Trump and Qanon will become synonymous. The rest of society will not think of them highly.

Nobody who wasn't already a Trump supporter is going to become one now. That movement is going to bleed support until the only hangers-on will be kooky people like Roger Stone hanging on to Nixon.

nice lyric.

Trump isn’t nationalist populism—he was just the leading exponent of it.

In fact, I think Trump needs to get out of the way if for no other reason he’s such an easy target. Trump should stand down from running again and play king maker.

As bad as it was, the comparing it to Pearl Harbor is a bit over the top. In fact it was almost farcical in a sense. Who goes to an insurrection dressed up like a Viking? Did the Brits stop and take selfies when they ran on the capital? Did security stand aside and allow them to waltz right in?

But I understand it’s politically expedient to maximize it in order to marginalize the movement to the greatest extent possible.

You act like the selfie takers and the man in the crazy outfit were the only ones who stormed the Capitol, they weren’t, there was the guy in tactical gear with flex cuffs, there were the people who assaulted cops and killed one with a fires extinguisher. There was the terrorist who had 11 Molotov cocktails. There were two explosive devices. They shouted they wanted to hang Pence and where’s that bitch Pelosi. These people attacked our Capitol, something even foreign terrorist haven’t been able to do.

as a matter of fact. i recall when Trump was elected and he reached out to Dems

what does Biden do? call us Thugs.. ALL OF US

Us, comrade dookie? Nyet, son. Trump doesn't reach out. Trump doesn't use diplomacy. Trump negotiates deals, and then takes his cut.

He didn’t even call to check on Pence during the siege. He was trying to call Tuberville to delay the vote. We know this because he accidentally called Mike Lee, who could not talk because he was being moved to a safe place. Unbelievable!

the problem is the Congress and political class ( which is what we have - a permanent political class)
are not interested in advancing the middle class, or stopping China from stealing our jobs/IP and so forth.

Trump made "checking China" and issue - but it's just symbolic for most as they have investments with China and such
Trump was immune from corruption - you can say what you want ab out him, but he's not a Beijing Biden with a crime family of corrupt ties to China, the Moscow mayors wife etc.

There are a few exceptions, but no other economic nationalists I can think of -certainly not any Dems

Fuck me, I have to agree with Opie. Trump could easily play king-maker, but he's burning down the throne room. He's headed for a complete meltdown.

I also tend to agree most didn't go to the rally for insurrection. Trump called them then told them then he lied his ass off to them to incite them to take their country back by attacking Congress:https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/donald-trump-speech-save-america-rally-transcript-january-6

The nut jobs did as he asked.

There were definitely Trump supporters ready to go to war, violently overthrow the US government and execute anyone who didn't swear fealty to Trump. Those idiots will be among the first to be rounded up since, like Enrique, they've been plastering their faces all over the Internet for months.

You'd make Vladimir, Lenin, not Putin, very, very proud Dookie. You're certainly a good Soviet agent to the core.

We can agree on the problem, but I strongly disagree that Trump, or Lenin, is the solution.
