At a time when midtown Manhattan is struggling with empty storefronts and a plunge in luxury shoppers, the Trump Organization is facing the prospect of having to fill retail space at a prized property just off Fifth Avenue.

Tiffany & Co., which currently occupies Trump’s 6 E. 57th St. as it renovates its nearby flagship, plans to move back to its longtime home by mid-2022. The companies that hold the lease at the Trump building, Wharton Properties and SL Green Realty Corp., won’t extend it when it ends next year, according to people with knowledge of the matter.


That means the 74,000-square-foot space -- commonly known as NikeTown for its former tenant -- will be handed back to the Trump Organization. The company holds a long-term ground lease at the building, located around the corner from its marquee Trump Tower.


Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, declined to comment, as did spokespeople for Wharton and SL Green.

It could be argued that his brand lost 50% the moment he screwed up and won in '16. His actions as POTUS pretty much destroyed what was left.

His need to fulfill his bucket list will cost the family Hundreds of Millions and a few may end up in an Orange Jumpsuit, but I believe that is the family color.

In other news, Gucci extended its 20 year lease that was due to expire in '26. trump had to agree to a cut in rent, but nobody's talking numbers to the press.

A department store in NYC that probably can't open its doors in months due to Idiot De Blasio and Killer Cuomo probably terminated it's lease on the basis it wasn't making any money.
 
I imagine he will find renters, but like Gucci, it will be at a reduced rate. It is a prime location.

Did you read the article? Did you even glance at it? Tiffany moved into this space while renovating their own building and because of the drop in sales and customers due to Chinese Disease and NY state and NYC lockdowns. They decided not to renew for that reason. Their reasoning had nothing to do with who owned the building. Instead, it was a business decision.

Oh, I didn't bring up the Hildabeast or Obama in this either so your meme is wrong and stupid.
