Democrats like/want power just like Republicans do. But that's a separate discussion from the race issue. Republicans find religion on spending when out of power and lose it when in power. It's unfortunate but that isn't racially driven.
He only needs to win in 5 states to become speaker as opposed to the 20 some states he needed to win for President.

Now you're going off in a separate direction. What I originally responded to was the idea that Republicans are somehow less partisan when the Democratic President is white than when it was Obama. I don't agree with that position.
