To whatever extent it’s true, that would depend on what Putin wanted and whether Trump was willing to grant it. Nothing there but air as far as the eye can see. The whole charade was a colossal waste of time and taxpayers money.
The point with NYT and WashPO is they spent four years chasing every Trump rabbit down every rabbit hole. Too many anonymous sources and ‘stories’ that turned out to be rubbish. It may have been good for readership but it came at a considerable cost to their reputations as reliable sources.
So you concede that America needs to ramp up it's investments in infrastructure and human capital to stay competitive with China.
