"Hear me clearly," "America is not a racist country."- Tim Scott

ROFL.
I gave you detailed responses and you give back self congratulations..you are not serious on this topic

Trump had four years to pass legislation beefing up America's infrastructure and human capital, and he did not do it.

In fact, the only major legislative accomplishment Trump followed through on was a budget busting tax scheme to mostly benefit the affluent investor class.

I think you realize and understand at a visceral level that 21st century America needs major upgrades to our 19th and 20th century infrastructure, and to America's human capital. That is the only way to stay competitive.

China is not even having this debate, they are charging forward on major public investments in their nation

I believe the only reason you complain about Biden's plan and stand for the status quo is simply because you hold a grudge that the one term Trump was summarily fired by the American people.

America, as a nation, is profoundly racist.

That you're too fucking stupid to understand that simple fact is irrelevant to it's reality.

The "nation" isn't "profoundly racist". If it were the nation's legal system and the formation of its institutions would be so and if anything the legal system and institutions embody inclusion. Many citizens speak and behave with racial animus but many don't. But it is true, and we are getting a lot of it in this thread, that some seem to enjoy puffing their own imagined or even true racial equanimity by wailing at how terrible the rest of the country is.

Is there any racism in America?

And that's a bad thing?

One can debate whether that’s a good or bad thing but I was responding to your comment about me focusing on little things.

I’ll offer an example. A couple of weeks ago someone posted an article about a second hand comment supposedly heard at UCLA about a student saying soap machines in the bathroom were racist. The poster then attached it to the left. That to me would be focusing on a little thing and making a big deal about it.

Whatever ones belief about it the1619 Project is a big thing.

You really showed me dude. Well done.

Edit: Would be interesting to see if you directed that same language to Kamala Harris who also said America is not a racist country.

Oh sorry I wasn't talking about you specifically. I was talking to Christine. Besides I was talking about the phenomenon displayed by the right about things in the general.

And yes your example would be an excellent example of that.

Lots. You haven't noticed? Seems for some political types who have a problem with distinctions the gap between "profound"/"fundamental" and "none at all" is too small for anything else to squeeze in between.

Yeah that's true. How do you measure something like that in a scale of 0 to 100?

Tim Scott wanted p[olice reform and the Dems filibustered it -so that means nothing

I've already said infrazstructure is OK to update -yes it's needed.
roads, bridges are a mess, some airports as well, and yes broadband needs to get to rural folks.

But that's not the issue

why are we giving:
$174 billion for electric vehicles? manufactures are already producing -why the corporate welfare?

400 billion for expanding access to care for elderly people and disabled people, calling for an expansion of Medicaid?

$100 billion toward upgrading and building new public schools?

$300 billion to make investments seeking to mitigate the damage from future pandemic?

making gig workers unionized? ( which would fuck up my pay royally)

and many more sops

BLM has no say-so on how colleges run their business. That's like me saying "redfish should be segregated to the conservatives-only forum on JPP."

Pull your head out.

you are correct, but sadly BLM has tremendous influence on our educational system and our DC government. That portends a terrible future for the USA, but its a future that you liberals have asked for.

I think its you whose head is up your ass.

Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger who said "negros are human weeds that must be exterminated" and yet you dem/libs worship her. WTF?
