The problem is that most of the Democrats are only marginally better than the Republicans. They can't govern alone. That's why I say that we need lots of small political parties. At a minimum, the Republican party needs to be scorched from the face of the planet. Trump, McConnell, and McCarthy have that just about finished.

I grew up in Texas, and my entire family on both sides were basically Conservative Democrats. I remember hiding the fact that the first time I was old enough to vote, I voted for Richard Nixon! Mainly because he said he was going to end the war in Vietnam and bring the troops home.

But then Nixon started covering up the Watergate break-in, it became obvious and then the Republican Congressional leaders started looking like they were covering for Nixon, and I had my fill of them. It was a matter of principles to me. I grew up with the strong belief that lying is stealing, and THERE IS NOTHING I HATE WORSE THAN A GOD DAMN LIAR- WHICH IS THE SAME TO ME AS A THIEF!

Even though some of my best friends are Republicans, I CANNOT TRUST ANY OF THEM, as they all lie like dogs. So, I can only conclude that Republicans are lost when it comes to scruples. They put power over principle and power is all that matters to them, as Republicans will lie, cheat, steal, and sacrifice their own values and principles to get what they want.

Yes, Black Cat, the Democrats should move on and focus their attention on another ex-President. Why not that shining icon of wisdom and virtue, Barack Obama. After all he was truly a towering figure in American politics: the most outrageously corrupt, pathologically lying, Janus-faced, political criminal/traitor in the entire history of America and(a closet Alinskyite communist to boot).
