Another gun nut looking to waste some people

I have read extensively on snipers and sniping and I hadn't seen that story.

Another factor to keep in mind, flashing a gun at someone who has been in war, probably not a positive on their psyche. This does not justify his actions, but should be considered.

Anyone who incapacitates one assailant, empties his gun chasing the other, then returns to reload before pumping 5 rounds into the unconscious body of the 1st assailant is a gun nut.

LMAO... that does not make him a gun nut.

While he could be, it could also be....

1) A Veteran of the Gulf War, thus the experience could simply have triggered PSTD episode

2) The fact that the kid put a gun in his face could have caused him to snap, due to an overload of adreneline and subsequent anger/rage

As I said, if the kid was unconscious his actions (when he returend) were not justified. But for you to pretend that this situation on its own makes him a gun nut is simply ridiculous.

What? He returned and shot the guy some more. He would have been safe in any case had he not returned.

Especially with respect to the Muslim v Jewish thing, it is much more effective that shooting them in the head. The guy basically becomes a eunuch, and by a woman no less; a huge deterrent for effective recruiting, not to mention potentially fewer Palis in the next generation. :cof1:

Yes, and how does that make him a gun nut vs. the other options I laid out. None of them justify what this guy did if the kid was indeed unconscious. But to lay this off as some die hard gun nut is simply devoid of any evidence to support that.

So you are suggesting that he should have shot the guy and left? It was his store why would he not return?

But I disagree with your statement that the gun is to stop the attacker not to kill him. Its called Deadly Force for a good reason. You aim for center of body mass and keep shooting until he falls or you run out of ammo. You do not try to wound the attacker.

In Arizona, it is against the law to shoot someone with the intent to wound or maim.
It is the law that if you shoot someone, you must shoot to kill.

I beg to differ.

A REAL "gun nut", because he IS an enthusiast about firearms, would be far better versed in handling his firearm that the person in question. A REAL "gun nut" would have taken both assailants down with 4 shots by double tapping each one in rapid succession. Both assailants would have been dead and no issue for wild eyed fascist gun haters to grab onto.

The man was an idiot. His actions against the disabled assailant were uncalled for, and he should be charged appropriately. (though in truth the video does NOT show the actual condition of the 1st Assailant, and the description of the DA and media claiming the security video shows him to be unconscious is a lie.)
