They don't need to be a majority to be troublesome, thanks to the foolishness of our constitution.
They're vastly over represented in government as a percentage of the population.
Rural Christian Republicans are parochial in their ways and actually believe that they're a majority because they spend no time in the nation's great urban cultural centers.
They live in a bubble, and right now, the urban / rural polarization is making the republic completely dysfunctional.

Agreed. Most of my friends tend to vote republican. They are mostly well educated professionals or retired professionals. Trump did not appeal to them, by and large. But they woulda voted for the devil before Hillary and they were generally disgusted with Trump’s behavior his 4 years in office.
What the Republican Party needs is a well polished , well spoken politician with moderate conservative ideals that doesn’t bend the knee to PC crap. If someone like that comes along it’s just a matter of time before he or she gets elected.
Both parties once in power go too far with their agenda.
Just look at Bill’s poll on this board. Cons overwhelmingly preferred DeSantis over Trump.
Imagine e.g., a Ticket of Ron DeSantis and Dan Crenshaw against Biden and Harris and their debates.

that's exactly why GQP'ers are unpatriotic.......they will gladly vote for a criminal/con man like Trump if he's on the ticket (regardless of the Democratic candidate, Hillary or not)

not even voting would be the patriotic thing to do
