The first amendment protects you from the government interfering with your right to free speech.

The first amendment does not protect you from private organizations interfering with your free speech rights when it occurs on their property, or in the context of one of their functions. Judging from their website, this parade is organized, run, and put on by a private volunteer organization comprised of private citizens. Its not a formal government function.

A private parade can do anything they want to restrict your ability to pass out fliers, or engage in partisan politics. Its their parade.

You really don't understand the constitution do you?

The teabaggers can form their own parade if they want to pass out flyers warning of the evils of socialism. No one is stopping them from applying for a parade permit

Yeah, they officially call themselves the Tea Bag Protestors, but since half those yahoos don't know what the other is protesting (or whose pulling their strings), and carry signs like that one can't help but call them tea baggers (derrogatory sexual conotations non-withstanding). the should have enlisted the advice of larry craig, or numerous other republican men who have been arrested in bathroon sex stings. Those dudes are hip to the urban slang version of tea bagging.
