Kindly point out where I claimed that one did, Solitary (the "entertaining" comment exposes you). Ideally it is editors who do editorials. Or pundits, commentators, (choose your term). Reporters, not so much. *shrug*

Your clinging to this "he shouldn't have done both" is just more of your inability to admit when you are wrong.

It shows your bias against anyone who has any liberal ideals.

Just one more coincidence, like: lives in Alabama, Red Tide fan, fond of the straw man tactic, follows me around stubbornly, repeats the same arguments over and over, three fat kids, ugly wife... *shrug*

So does that mean they need to get rid of Fox News all together? Alls they do is editorialize.

Oh come on SM, that's a silly commnet. Journalist have made editorials as long as they've been around and it's healthy for our democracy too. Other wise all's were left with is state run propaganda. It's fine for a journalist to editorialize as long as they point our that their comments are editorials.

Me thinks that 1, there not using the correct definition of a strawman argument and 2, you know that.

A strawman argument is an argument that's missrepresents another persons point of view in order to make it easer to discredit that point of view (knock down the strawman).

Cronkite was a professional newsman. He could certainly present a fair portrayal of the news when he was acting as the CBS evening news anchorman, and then present opinion (backed up with facts and experience) when he was speaking in his editorials.

The fact that you claim this shows bias but will not answer whether you think mainstream news reporters have an opinion is why I would claim victory (if I were to do so). Not based on something like you avoiding the topic by posting "straw man" over and over.

You have to understand the mindset of the right wing. Those who do not support their agenda are biased. By that standard any objective person is biased.

Yep, I live in Alabama. Yes I am a Crimson Tide fan. (red tide is an algae bloom in the ocean)

Straw man argument? None of my arguments were straw man arguments. That was just your way of avoiding the discussion.

You have never seen my wife or my kids. You want to scream about people talking about your family and here you make totally bogus accusations about mine.

Fox has been shown to be among the least biased of major cable and broadcast news outlets. I disagree that reporters should editorialize.
