This is making the right look deranged. For one, if it were merely a question of his long form (long form vs. short form not being a big deal, but let's through them a bone), then they should just act like they sort of want the long form. Instead, they declare him an illegal alien.

If Obama actually has the long form and is holding it back, this is the best move since the Beer Hall Putsch. Imagine if he hold it until there are tons of Republicans senators and congressman co-sponsoring that birther bill and declaring Obama an illegal alien; then he's completely discredited them, and he can move forward with his agenda at a much faster pace with an embarrassed opposition.

It would be impossible, none of his ancestors from that side of his family ever lived here during slavery, considering the first one came from Kenya during his mother's lifetime.

i blame both sides, i've made posts previously to that. however, it is clear people are unsatisfied with what he has produced so far and want to see a copy of the original. this shouldn't be a big deal....asking the president who serves the people to show a copy of his original....

in this case, it is clear that what obama has done so far has not quelled the issue, thus, would you not agree that he has the power to quell the issue about his original? in that, quell people's intrigue as to why he won't release it? especially, after HI has stated again that they have his original on file and this time, even HI went a step further by saying he was born here....they did not last time. HI obviously wants this to end and is giving out as much info about his certificate as legally possible....it is the height of stupidity for obama to also not step up to the plate and try to quell this issue by simply releasing a copy....what is the big deal now? why can't he release it?

Obama served in the US Senate. Are you aware of the background checks one has to go through to serve in the Senate?

Should he respond to every lunatic notion that comes from the right?

Is it his responsibility to make dumb people smarter? If he served in the US Senate ONLY really dumb people would not know that he must be an American citizen. Ever heard of ANY cases where a non-citizen served in the US Senate?

Additionally, politically, it's a good move to make your opposition look like lunatics .. something the right does very well.

Okay, I will give Yurt this on, technically, one who is AWOL, a felon, a Republican, can run for President, does not make them ineligible, legally, as set down by the Constitution.

I personally believe that if there was any substance to any of this the GOP would have been all over it.

Obama would have been disqualified before he even started.

I think you should find something else to fret over.

so they wouldn't have even checked it, only the president is required to have that

So the GOP in the US House voted to accept the clause that Obama was born in Hawaii!

So the birthers and all who sail with them better start thinking of who they are going to replace all the current House GOP reps with...because in their mindsets, the Congressional GOP has joined in the "lib'ral" conspiracy along with the liberally biased MSM.

When was the last time we had a true leader in the White House??

Obama is a politician. And, as a politician, he is doing what politicians do (if this is actually a scam to discredit the opposition).
