He sounds pretty influential to me. Some might call that being a czar since the word's been overused lately. He not just some guy at some federal agency as you suggested.

Getting back to the issue, Ezekiel J. Emanuel has some pretty radical things to say about rationing of health care.

Again, this will result in a single payer system, Obama is on record as stating that's his goal. Ezekiel J. Emanuel's policies will undoubtedly be made based on his 1996 writings.

You must have seen a different video than I did to think that Newt was pwned. But Newt brings up an important issue that I was just about to bring up.

This Bill really doesn't say all that much. Newt says that it simply sets up mechanisms. The real decisions will be made by committees. For instance, this "Death Committee", is to be made up by the President, with no legislative oversight, and they are to make recommendation to the Surgeon General, who can accept them or not. The SG, of course, serves at the pleasure of the President.

This gives the POTUS unprecedented power of daily life and death decisions that are supposed to me made by a patient and their physician.

'Cept we're not talking about a single payer system, and you don't see this happen in England or Canada which have real single payer systems. And you don't see it happening in Medicare, which is also a single payer system.

There is no stupid death committee. The president doesn't decide what coverage you get. Stop with that already. You look retarded.
 
Apparently he is his death panel czar, since he is at the top of that particular ladder.

On a side note, "Death Panelist" is high on the list of jobs that sound way cooler than anything the job entails. I think you've picked the wrong panel to name the "Death Panel" anyway, the one that is most likely to make the effects that people attribute to a "Death Panel" is the one that has to cut costs when they begin to over run.

Everything I'm hearing from congress backs up what I said. Frankly, I would be saving a bunch of money even if they increased my taxes but gave me a cheaper health insurance plan. Fortunately, I just get the cheaper plan without having to pay more taxes. That's the reality of it.
