53% of American supports Obama's plan

When presented with only facts, instead of purely the lies that the right tells (which is 90% of peoples only real source of information on this, thanks to the conservative media) they support it.
Rubbish. (For Onceler it is the same as BS, without the cussing).

When the poll is paid for by a biased group (MSNBC) it is only as good as the result they wanted. This is simply a different version of push-polling, we are all supposed to be "shocked" and suddenly start supporting what we do not at this time. It's just sad really. I mean really... who wrote the talking points for the "poll", Chris Matthews? I mean he's the guy who admitted having a thrill up his leg just looking at Obama...

Here is MSNBC "objectively" singing about Obama:

1by are you aware of the concept of representative sampling?

Yeah. I've taken statistics at a college level. Their liberal/conservative samples look pretty darn representative of the national trends, if you read a little further down.

The Republican/Democrat sampling isn't as important as who identifies as liberal and conservative and all the shades therein.

Did you see that it was also paid for by the Wall Street Journal?

This is the question that gets the 53% favorability rating:

The one they most strongly oppose...

Question 9. The Public option. 47% oppose to 43% support.

43% think the protests do more harm than good, almost even with the 42% that think they do more good than harm...

So, they report that 53% would suddenly "support" the whole bill based on one question that is not even close to the whole bill.

Yeah, MSNBC is feeding you propaganda and ib1 ate it up.

You're full of shit. Just quit digging, hotshot.

LOL. When you start cursing like ib1 I know that you realize you have lost.

Reality sets in, the poll says people are against the public option, for covering pre-existing conditions, but it does not tell you or anybody that they support the bill, just one tiny aspect of it. They base this "report" of "news" on one question about pre-existing conditions and ignore the fact that people do not support other portions of the bill very strongly.

"hotshot"...

This is the weakest "poll" result I've seen. Even watermark had to see through it, he just didn't expect anybody to read the polling data!

It's your link "hotshot"...

The polls clearly show that most people are stupid and believe the lies they have been told about healthcare reform.
From the same group that lied to them for 8 years.

IMO the polls show that people distrust Congress, and for good reason, and that the President is getting a little bit of splash-back because of it.

actually, given the way the poll was worded, I think the Dems ought to be very worried....they stacked the deck in favor of the bill and still got just over half.....

There is no way to look at what has been proposed by the president or any congressional committee and conclude that any of the it action items under consideration is a "government takeover of the health care system".

That is a lie propagated by people whose only purpose is to scare the public.
