My brother is an interesting case. He is a Republican, has been his entire life, sort of hard core about it. Against women's lib, thinks its "unnatural" but his wife works. He's an accountant and wants low taxes. Hated Trump during the primary, called him a crook and a mentally ill trust fund baby. Once Trump was the nominee, he was SO pro-Trump all the way, but it was mostly because of his hatred for Hillary. In the end all arguments came back to but.. But... But... Hillary. He voted for Trump the first time, and stayed home the second time. He's vaccinated and wore a mask because he is not "dumb as shit", his words.

I think he is the alienated Republican, the Reluctant Trumpper.

I know how to run a search on JPP...the fact of the matter is that unsecured e-mails mattered to you so much in 2016 that you couldn't vote for Clinton, but then you were SILENT the next four years as Trump and his kids (and Guiliani and others) used unsecured communications with nations like Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Not one word from you about that in 4 years.

But you dredge up that horseshit about Clinton 6 years after Comey already said she didn't break the law.

A Republican Administration DID use unsecured servers for e-mail...you just never said anything about it the entire time they did because it's a bullshit issue you used as a pathetic excuse to vote for Trump in 2016...and yes, voting 3P is the same thing as casting a ballot for Trump, you don't get that cover.

I have a life-long friend that was a big Republican all his life. Always voted for the candidate with an (R) after his name. He also voted for Trump in 2016 but it didn't take long to realize his mistake. After a few years of Trump craziness, he became an anti-Trump and protests strongly against him. He voted for Biden in 2020. I know quite a few like that with the same scenario. Trump has a solid base but he's lost a lot of Republicans because of his criminal actions. Republicans have become so radical and extreme (and racist) since they embraced Trump, I don't see how I could ever return to the party. They'd have to purge their loonies first: (Trump, Boebert, MTGazpacho, Gosar, Johnson, Gohmert, Jordan, Cruz, Hawley and the others). I would have trouble voting for anybody with an (R) after their name knowing it would give these bozos more power.
I'm thinking many other Americans feel the same way.
