any person that assaults another simply because they don't like their position or are trying to shut them down deserves to be shot. The right to free speech may be a bitch and it may suck ass having to hear opinions you don't agree with, but damn it, I will defend it.
 
The Movon dude crossed the street to pick a fight, chose an old man then when the old man was defending himself bit off an appendage and ran away. Why would anybody defend this?

Exactly. The only tragedy here is that this man only had his finger bitten off. It's a mockery of justice that he's still alive.

Yes, it's very difficult to defend a person keeping his life after picking a fight and punching a peaceful patriot protester in the face twice just for supporting liberty. The scum should be dead. How could anyone support this subhuman scum? What Nazi-esque philosophy would come out on the side of this subhuman even keeping his undeserved life? Justice should be distributed; hang him from the highest tree. But our states too much of a pussy for that.

who escalated the argument to the point of becoming a physical confrontation? i.e....who THREW THE FIRST PUNCH?

If someone is yelling at me, I will yell back... if I decide that words alone cannot adaquately convey my emotions and I feel compelled to attempt to physically harm the other person with my fists, if, as a part of what transpires after that point, I am physically harmed by the other person... even if he is bigger and stronger and younger than me, I started the fight... and I deserve whatever I get as a result of doing so.

If someone drags me into the street by force they have "struck the first blow".

Give it a rest, maineman. The moveon idiot was the aggressor. The old man fought back, and lost a finger to the idiot.
