A WELL REGULATED MILITIA EQUAL TO THE MILITARY would also entail keeping all weapons locked up in an armory under constant guard.

Military personnel are not allowed to take their govt issue military weapons home with them or carry them around in public.

Too bad there is nothing in the 2nd Amendment or anywhere else in the Constitution that says a well regulated militia must be on par with the military.
 
At the time people needed a musket to kill bears and moose to protect their families


It was much easier to have them show up when called with their own arms

So now the mass shooters won't even have to sneak a weapon into school. They'll just take it from the teacher.

Actually, what they were proposing is even worse from a cost standpoint.

They want armed guards patrolling the schools.

And as we've seen, it takes more than just one armed guard to stop a determined shooter.

How many children could be shot dead in the time it would take for one armed guard to run from one end of a school to the other?

They'd need a few in every one of 100,000 schools.

And one on every bus, too.

Do the math.

Kind of off-topic, but someone made the connection yesterday between twump's inaction for over 3 hours... and then in Uvalde last week there were 19 cops standing outside the killbox for an hour, knowing kids were still alive and running for their lives in there. I'm NEVER getting over that. My plan for a vacation is to visit Uvalde, walk down the street carrying an AR and just stare down cops. They know they're trash. I think we all need to remind them. Again and again. For those babies they let die in terror and anguish. Those fuckers.
