Physician Sentenced for Part in January 6 Insurrection

Where have I made an excuse for her guilty plea? She did it to get it over with, and to lesser charges.
Now, after that plea and the completion of all requirements of it, why should something that has nothing to do with these charge force her to give up her career as well?

She didn't do it to get it over with, she did it to avoid paying a lawyer- remember?
Our prisons are filled with innocent people who pled guilty just so they didn't have to pay a lawyer or court costs.

That's what he claimed, but I'd like to see evidence of the cases. In this case she pled guilty because she was caught red-handed and clearly guilty. By taking a plea, more serious charges were dropped. She took a plea to avoid conviction in court and a much longer prison sentence.

Lots of people plead guilty or no contest to avoid lawyer, fines and court costs

If she can practice with just a license, why does she need a board certification?

Hospitals and patients look for that additional training and certification. It's not necessary for practice though. It indicates their specialty -- cardiology, gynecology, family practice, etc.

I'd like to see what kind of clientele she after her prison* sentence. LOL

*inside joke Prison vs. Jail.

Beverly Hills clients undoubtedly pay pretty well. She probably has limited hours at her practice. There's a Dr. from Phila. who comes up here (he did a few yrs. ago) once a week as a specialist. He drove a Ferrari to and from Phila. every week. I'd bet an ER physician pays well too.

ER physicians don't typically have an office outside of the hospital though. No doubt she had some side gig with the rich and famous going. She's since reportedly moved to Florida, where her crazy will fit right in. Maybe Minty can be one of her patients, if she ever leaves the house.

Doktor Gold will be a great source of Ivermectin suppositories, bleach injections and, of course, OxyContin.

That's probably why she didn't put in the typically long hours in the emergency room at the hospital. If she moved, she probably has made enough in CA.

Pffth many ER docs also have office practices. I did.

Her net worth is about 5 million.

She raised $430K for her legal defense then pled guilty and kept the money. LOL

A federal judge on Thursday sentenced Simone Gold, the founder of the anti-vaccine group America’s Frontline Doctors, to 60 days in prison for trespassing in the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 attack, blasting her for using her legal woes to raise $430,000 for herself and her organization.

U.S. District Judge Christopher R. Cooper said that Gold, who pleaded guilty in March, failed to show remorse or accept responsibility for her actions during the riot. He noted she had claimed in an interview with The Washington Post that “where I was was incredibly peaceful,” when video showed that the emergency room physician and Stanford-trained attorney did nothing as a mob she was with dragged a police officer to the ground.

The judge also called it a “disservice to the true victims that day” that Gold has given supporters the “misimpression” she was politically persecuted for giving a speech, and raised $430,000 for her personal and organization expenses.

There should be laws that prevent this, it’s basically fraud.

She'll have to get licensed in FL in order to practice. If she's so well off though, why did she need to have ppl donate $400K to her legal defense fund?

She simply followed President Donald "Scam Artist" Trump's example. Notice how Trump raised $250K and then kept most of it to spread around in a slush fund to pay off friends.
