Russia to annex Kherson Oblast

NATO welcomes Ukraine’s and Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations for membership in NATO. We agreed today that these countries will become members of NATO. Both nations have made valuable contributions to Alliance operations.
"Aspirations". Lol.

Not even close to being a good excuse for a bloodthirsty invasion.

Invading a country based on what they might do in 15 years is an excuse Iraq war supporters tried to use.

not going to get them, and Ukraine has already hit targets inside Russia (done strike?) Biden isn't going to allow this war to expand because even he understands that means we are warring against Russia proper, not just it's troops
And we weren't going to give them shorter ranged HIMARS either. You don't know what we will ultimatly send to Ukraine.

if my chess pieces are around my king, they are on defense, If my pieces are on your side of the board
they become "aggressive". NATO expansion into border states with Russia is an aggressive posture.
Not a good analogy but we’ll use it anyway.
Those ‘aggressive’ pieces weren’t yours at the start of the game, they joined your side after gaining their autonomy from the tyrant king. They just want protection from your pieces from the aggressive tyrant. They have zero intention of being aggressive.
What do you think makes Putin believe NATO wants to invade Russia? He’s saying Ukraine or NATO is an “existential threat” to Russia???!?
That’s just his excuse for war. It’s in the Russian DNA. Expand or die.

you dont seem to understand placement. NATO by definition is an existential threat to Russia. It's a military alllaince against Russia
as it gets closer and closer it's more of a threat. (the chess analogy)
Putin as head of state cant say "well this military alliance will never strike us -what kind of state leader would sit back and just acquiese to that?? he would be derelict

Besides our meddling in the Maidan to help overthrow a "pro-Russian" president (He really was more neutral then pro-Russia_) and replace it with Poroshenko and the Kyiv faction who were getting NATO weapons
( Javelin and more even under Trump) meant Putin couldn't sit back and watch access to Crimea be jepordized

NATO promise Uk membership,we expanded NATO be default even before the war with weapons and promises backed up by the west

All of this is intolerable to Russian redlines.
and after Crimean annexation dont forget Brit warship running in restricted waters, NATO bombers along Russian coast lines etc.
when Biden rejected Russian redlines - this was gonna happen, but it had been building as well

YOU neglect to mention that the disenfranchised Ukrainians didn't take part in the elections which installed the anti-Russian, pro-Azov Nazi government. They declared their own republics in the Donbas instead- and got shelled for eight years for their trouble. 14,000 people died.

refusing to vote is not disenfranchisement....

I never had you pegged as a deeply dishonest and deceptive poster until Putin's War on Ukraine.

The rebels in the Donbass provinces declared themselves a supposedly independent republic and thus gave up their right to vote in a Ukrainian election.

Zalensky's victory in 2019 was so overwhelming, votes from the Donbass region wouldn't have changed the final outcome.

Do you honestly believe there is any reasonable chance that 30 independent, sovereign NATO nations of Europe and North America would ever collectively agree to invade Russia - a land with a history of being a graveyard for invaders?

Of course you don't actually believe that.

Which leaves us with the real reason Putin has a habit of invading Georgia, Ukraine, and strong-arming Belarus. He believes Russia, based on it's imperial history, has a right to makes these nations into vassal states.

Tell us how well Russia likes those HIMARS Haw, haw, ............haw.....BOOM!

th

I and many other taxpayers would be happy to assume the expense of exporting all of our Russia supporters to Russia.
We could have traded them all for the carpet munching basketball player.

I've always suspected that you were a tad light on intelligence- and you confirm it daily.

The rebels in the Donbass provinces declared themselves a supposedly independent republic and thus gave up their right to vote in a Ukrainian election.

The Nazis burned their opposition to death and so frightened the living away. You're a blind fool.

Anyway- there's a war on. It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings. You really should shut your daft trap until then.

ive explained this many times. NATO is a hostile military alliance. Expansion makes that alliance quicker and more lethal to attack. I get you say "they will never attack" but the very nature of NATO expansion is a redline for Russia
