Trumpers are the world's oldest crybullies. It's a fact for which 1/6 will be most remembered. The average age of a 1/6 Crybully was 40, primarily poorly educated lower-income Euro-American males....but they are a minority. A very loud and violent minority, but still a minority.
The major backbone of the United States economy has almost always been the Euro-American male worker...all raised by mothers who were primarily Euro-American. Those stats, while changing per the culture, still remain about the same when it comes to workers and families.
Smart families recognize that continually running up the national debt while cutting taxes for the rich is going to be a problem for their own kids. The sane ones are complaining and voting but not walking the streets with guns or threatening to murder Liberals, socialists and Jews.
Except for yesterday, just because most American families are too busy working and caring for their families doesn't mean they aren't paying attention to the noisy mob and crybullies.
As the narrowness of the elections these past few years and voter demographics continue to prove, most Americans feel both parties are too extreme, the heated rhetoric is tiresome and that both parties are better at taking care of their own than all of America.

Look, I’m not necessarily celebrating the small victory of the Dems or the loss of Rs in general.
What I hope to celebrate is the demise of Trumpism and the return of a sane and reasonable Republican party. One that is not filled with QAnon nuts, conspiracy freaks and other ne’er do wells. There are some conservative values that I admire and adhere to, but they went astray for a few years. I hope that old party is back.

Your other alternative is Southern California and Arizona, but that's a much longer bus ride. Frankly, anywhere on the Gulf Coast will be a huge change from Boston in winter, but they're all Red States.
FWIW, while all are cheaper than the North, Florida is the most glitzy and a bigger tourist trap with price to match. Consider the "Redneck Riviera", or anywhere along the coast from Alabama to Brownsville, TX.
