Agreed on supporting the demise of Trumpism, authoritarian populism and any other smell of authoritarianism and a One Party State.

While I doubt Trump will ever go to prison for his crimes, I fully expect all of those around him who helped will face the justice they are due. This will take time but I expect the next two years will continually see the convictions of 1/6 criminals and the indictments of higher officials.

The fact several states are looking at different crimes will also play a major part in national politics until the next election.

FWIW, Tucker aside, most of the daytime Fox News shows are downplaying a Biden impeachment and Trump running in 2024. While it's not touched upon a lot, the occasional remarks without anyone advocating the opposite, is telling. It indicates a shift of the American RW away from the anti-American Trumper White Nationalist movement.

IMO, this doesn't bode well for those White Nationalists who broke the law. They'll be the ones paying the price for both 1/6 and any RW terrorist acts.

Not relevant to the thread, to which I apologize, but I’m tired of Floridians attempting to promote themselves as this paradise cause of the heat.
On the weather, as bad as winter is up north, summer is equally if not worse in Florida, hot and humid, night and day. A snowstorm, even a Northeastener, is no way comparison to a hurricane or tropical storm. And one can only do sun and sand and tourists attractions so many times

On the physical side, Florida is flat, very flat, accented by strip malls, boulevards, chain stores/restaurants, and traffic lights that one gets old fast waiting for them to change. There is no mentionable infrastructure, often, if you can’t drive there, you can’t get there. And Culturally, it is a vacuum, mediocrity is the major theme, old people go there waiting to pass

Only people flocking to Florida are snowbirds, who spend a large portion of the year back where they came from

Besides agriculture, tourism is a big part of Florida's economy for both natural and resort reasons.

So what if the snowbirds fly north every spring and summer? They still pay taxes on their Florida property.
