As long as it's all bad guys being killed, I'm good with it.

Given that we're STILL dealing with cops killing "good guys" and getting away with it, I'm leery that the same people and system would have a "push button" version of what's going on now.

Even in the military, friendlies are killed. List of friendly fire incidents

Most of the police brutality deaths are isolated and in the BBCs (Big Blue Cities). It's a local problem, not a Federal one...unless you suggest Federales on all streets of America? LOL

Don't go MAGA stupid on me now, Dutch. Militarizing police forces with this type of hardware has bad mojo written all over it. There is no such thing as acceptable "collateral damage" unless you're one of the assholes sitting comfortably away from the shooting.

Agreed there should be no collateral damage in police action. The robots would target a specific individual, the bad guy and, through a speaker, allow him/her to surrender or eat a bullet.

I asked you NOT to go MAGA stupid on me, Dutch. The robots would be guided remotely by cops....the same cops that have been nailed recently with unwarranted shootings, beat downs and such. Thinking a robot would remove that mindset is dumb.

Had the idiots said "demilitarize the police" instead of "defund the police", people would have been more aware of crap like this.

Dutch is not a Trump supporter nor does he support the Constitution of the United States nor any State constitution.

Yes, I get that you hate the police regardless of how many are good. If there's one bad apple, then people like you hate them all.

I disagree. There's over 660,000 police officers in the US: https://www.statista.com/statistics/191694/number-of-law-enforcement-officers-in-the-us/

472 of them died in 2021, this includes suicides and off-duty deaths: https://nleomf.org/memorial/facts-figures/officer-fatality-data/officer-deaths-by-year/

73 were murdered in felonious killings and 52 died in on-duty accidents: https://usafacts.org/articles/how-many-police-officers-die-in-the-line-of-duty/

No doubt all the police haters will laugh and spit on their graves.
