OWNED.

I once said (to much ridicule here) that Atheists are actually some of the biggest believers in God. Many of them know damn well there is a God, and they are (for whatever reason) angry with God over something. Therefore, in order to "punish" God, they deny him and act as if they don't believe in him.

YES... YOU WERE INDEED! GLAD YOU RECOGNIZED IT!
No, you said they were "nihilist", please tell me the definition of "nihilist" so that we can find out why I mentioned the "meaning of life"...I never said one word about "meaning of life" are you confusing something I posted with someone else? Like I said, lay off the bottle before you come here, Damo.
Buddhists are spiritual, they are not nihilists. Technically speaking, I am an Atheist. I do not subscribe or believe in any specific theocracy, which by definition, is an Atheist. I am, however, very spiritual, and I understand (know) there is a greater power than man. So do most human beings, that was my only point.
Superfreak admits he has faith in Science. I didn't make that assumption, he said it himself. He also doesn't describe himself as a nihilist, but anyone who doesn't believe in anything greater than self, is by definition, a nihilist. Therefore, we can conclude Super believes in something, he just doesn't know or isn't sure what that is.

I am not be angry at god. To be angry at something that does not exist would be the highest form of silliness.
Just when I think you can't possibly say anything dumber.... I truly must stop underestimating your capacity for ignorance.
An atheist does not believe in a God or Gods. Seriously, do you have moronic quote of the day toilet paper or something?
At this point, your 1/3 argument is looking like the work of Einstein relative to your idiocy on this thread.
Again, you display just how much of a moron you are.
It isn't "faith" in Science you idiot. I believe in the FACTS that science can prove. If you cannot comprehend the difference between FAITH and FACT, then you are an idiot.
As for the rest, again you are trying to display your ignorance as to what an agnostic is. I have already stated that I think it is likely that there is something greater out there. But the fact that I cannot prove it one way or another means I do not take a position based on FAITH. Which is what the religious and atheists do. THAT is being agnostic you twit.
No, you said they were "nihilist", please tell me the definition of "nihilist" so that we can find out why I mentioned the "meaning of life"...
And, no, you aren't an Atheist unless you believe that there is no God specifically, not by any stretch have you ever promoted such a belief.
Cherry picking because you cannot find a definition that supports your hissy fit.I'm sure you have a dictionary amongst all your books, Damo. A nihilist believes in absolutely no spiritual entity. Nothingness. I've not made an argument for how they feel about the meaning of life, but I would suppose, if you don't believe anything created life, you couldn't establish any meaning for it. It's like a crop circle, if you don't believe someone or something put it there, you can't believe it has meaning. These viewpoints would seem to contradict each other.
Nihilism (from the Latin nihil, nothing) is the philosophical doctrine suggesting the negation of one or more aspects of life or the world in general. Most commonly, nihilism is presented in the form of existential nihilism which argues that life[1] is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value.
Cherry picking because you cannot find a definition that supports your hissy fit.
I spoke to the fact that you called all Atheists "nihilists", which is a simplistic stereotype based in ignorance.
Why do you so constantly maintain a solid ignorance even of the words you use? You display a capacity to learn (I believe you are intelligent), but a willful urge to never use it (constantly insist that there is no need to actually learn about something before spouting off, then when shown you are without significant pieces of knowledge go on the attack rather than acknowledge the lack and fix the issue).
If you want to know how people who actively disbelieve in a Deity can also believe that there is meaning to life, ask the hundreds of millions of Theravada Buddhists who espouse that very belief.
Dixie says:
Atheists DO believe in god.

No, an Atheist claims he doesn't believe in God. I believe most of them actually DO believe in God, and more so than your average church-goer. I think they have a deep and profound understanding of God, and they are angry at him, and denouncing him is the way they express this anger.
I am sorry that was such a complicated thing for you to comprehend, I should have used more simple words to articulate my thoughts.
I do not believe in the theism's of organized religions, and I have said this on numerous occasions here.
The twenty some odd posts of ib1 posting you describe yourself as a christian, talking about your duty as a christian, and your christian faith, contradicts this statement.
