It is the most bizarre strategy to lighten a severe teacher shortage, attacking teachers.
Worse yet they have expanded out to attacking nurses.
Oh do tell. What's up with that?

That is absolutely terrible advice. Bosses will tell you that as long as you do what you are told, they will handle any criminal charges, but they are lying. Worse yet, they are often planning to make a plea agreement if everyone is caught. There is no "my boss told me to do it" defense to criminal charges, no matter what field you are in. This goes more so if you are a licensed teacher. As part of the licensing process, you are pledging to put criminal law ahead of your job.
Actually they are quite worried, as I demonstrated in this earlier post. Toxic pretends to ignore my posts but in reality reads them all, hence the insistence and judgmental 'tude in post #211, above. As usual, she is dead wrong.

You're obviously not familiar with teaching profession..
But that's okay... you're not a teacher.... don't you worry teachers are going to be just fine and the kids are going to be the winners in the end...
Oh do tell. What's up with that?
Agreed, but attacking teachers has been going on for at least 30 years. Attacking nurses is a new thing due to lies from the autocratic 45th President.
No teacher is worried about getting caught committing a crime...especially when it comes to books on the shelf...I taught university courses, and have known many licensed teachers. A licensed teacher has absolutely no "the boss told me to do it" defense when caught committing a crime. Are you sure you were a licensed teacher? You do not seem to know how it works.
Now... Back to Basics ...eventually schools are going to be whst they ate supposed to be again...... it's going to be wonderful...
You never want to be caught committing a crime, even if your boss tells you it is OK.
once again I taught for more than 30 years... I'm pretty sure I know how it works... Now... Back to Basics ...eventually schools are going to be whst they ate supposed to be again...... it's going to be wonderful...

You can relax... (ask your "licensed friends" to reassure you).

They do seem to be badly treated in general by conservatives, but I was thinking of this new anti-mask law that DiSantis is pushing. It would criminalize nurses for asking people to wear masks.
Like teaching readin', 'ritin' and 'rithmetic?
Told you I heard the gurgling of the Seagrams going into the "gourmet" coffee earlier.

Now there I know you are wrong. Just knowing about a crime, and not reporting it, is a crime for a teacher. Teachers have gone to prison for being in a position they "should have" known about a crime, but did not. They did not commit a crime, but they are going to prison.
Real teachers are very worried about that. They document as much as possible, in hopes of using it in their defense. It is a real thing they have to think about.
Clearly not only have you never been a licensed teacher, but you have never met a licensed teacher. Teachers are in a constant worry about getting in trouble. In a way, it is understandable. We let them take care of our most prized thing in the world.
My kids are worth far more to me than my car, and I think that would go for most people. Now thing about valet parkers. If you told them to relax, no one ever crashes cars, and when they do crash cars, no one ever sues... You would be laughed at.
Doubt it. Everyone else I have known who has taught for 30 years tells me that they constantly have to worry about parents complaints, crimes, etc. You say it is an easy job with no worries.
I don't know anyone who worries about that...... we're too busy.... I never said it was an easy job... and I never said they're no worries I said we don't worry about book crimes....lol.. there's no increase in the fear you mention.... and there will be far less to worry about in general once teachers are allowed to teach again... that's why we're there after all... keep that in mind and work with your children's teachers...you'll be very very happy with the way things turn out...Now there I know you are wrong. Increasing the fear is not going to be wonderful. It is just going to mean fewer teachers.
No one is being forced to do anything....and no good teacher is worried.... or offering extra credit to read books that are on the list of those not approvedIf a teacher is doing their job they certainly aren't worried about their shelves... or anything else in their room... but their children...and being there for them... if there's inappropriate material in a classroom then it's good to know that it's being removed ... the only people worried about a "felony" are the ones who aren't doing their job properly... and that's easily solved...
I am fascinated by the folks on the forum who prefer ellipses to periods or commas. There's another poster who never uses anything EXCEPT ellipses (which he puts as 4 or 5 dots).
What did you teach?
