No one is going to prison...and no one is afraid...(Unless they've got porn...which would not be "approved"...on their shelves...)
 
I might worry a bit if I'm the teacher going out of his or her way to advertise that they're going to purposefully break the law by giving Extra credit for doing reports on the books not approved...but even they're not going to prison...

What they really mean when they say taxation = slavery is that they only want taxation to pay for certain things, like the ones you mentioned. The "slavery" part comes in when those taxes also go for Medicare and Medicaid, SNAP, those damn liberal schools, libraries, and other things they disapprove of.

Several RWers here have used that phrase, btw.

They're in favor of *other people* getting taxed so that they can have a bloated defense budget, but not themselves because all of *their* money obviously goes to lazy welfare slackers and libtard schools that groom kids for sexual exploitation. :rolleyes:

She's not breaking the law, you dumb twat. She doesn't have those books present. She isn't assigning them as homework. She's merely listing various books that at one time or another have been banned by the government, and offering extra credit to anyone who gets one *on their own,* reads it, and writes a book report about it. Most of those books were actually assigned to people our age in h.s. as mandatory reading. You would know this if you could actually read, or graduated h.s. It's pretty obvious that the only "special ed" you were engaged in was the failed IEPs you had in h.s. :laugh:

The alt right activists claim they have lists of teachers who have opposed the alt right politically (spoken out against this law, or donated money to a Democrat), and they are going to try to send them to prison. The law is so easy to break, and so draconian in its minimum sentencing, they might just be able to do it.

I am not sure quietly breaking the law will help teachers get away with it. Classes have 20 to 30 students in them, many very willing to turn in their teachers. Besides, this is a crime with clear physical evidence of the crime. And physical evidence that does not require a warrant to find.

The one hope is that prosecutors will refuse to prosecute. Even there DeSantis has illegally fired prosecutors for saying that laws are not reasonable. The prosecutors that are left are the prosecutors that will prosecute any crazy thing.

(The teacher with the list on her wall, in her room, is likely to get called in for a discussion and some advice of how she might want to change the requirements for extra credit...not the brightest teacher on that staff...;))

I imagine that eventually they will end up firing and/or prosecuting a teacher for some violation of this fascist nonsense. They'll appeal any conviction up to the U.S. Supreme Court. Won't *that* be an interesting case? Mere presence/possession of a contraband book, no matter its content, results in a criminal conviction? Does the 1st Amendment have anything to say about that?

Exactly. Like FL after the hurricane devastated Fort Myer. Unlike #TRE45ON did with the California fires, though, Biden didn't try to play politics with sending assistance.

Again, when it comes to their mothers and grandmothers having benefits cut, they are not as big of advocates on cutting such programs.

Again, education is the solution. Those in power, including the corporations and political parties, use such wedge issues to divide Americans instead of educate them about the realities and necessities.

Fearmongering is the exploitation of the ignorant and the stupid. Can't do much about the stupid (except deprive them of their vote. LOL), but ignorance can be cured. Sadly, neither party seems very interested in educating all Americans. They prefer to use the tactics as discussed on this and several other threads.

Which is proof of their ignorance. This ignorance, and hypocrisy, is easily seen in the Florida hurricane recovery threads.

Such threads are a great litmus test to determine which JPP members are honest and knowledgeable vs. liars, and/or ignorant, stupid or nuts.

Critical thinking is a lost art to them.

The interesting takeaway I got from that poll was not the percentage of black voters (0.5% with a margin of error of +/-2.8%) who said they did not experience any problems voting. Instead, it was how the vast majority of voters chose early, in-person voting rather than by mail or on election day. That was true across race, age, political party, gender, educational level, income demographics. It proves that people will be more likely to vote when it is made more convenient to their lives.

Watch for (R)s to fix that "problem." :laugh:
