Witness says Jordan Neely started making death threats against passengers

So if he had called 911 how would they have responded in a metal tube in a tunnel. Neely threatened to kill people. Neely set into motion the event.

Cite, I’ve seen a site where the police said he wasn’t threatening any individuals, I have not seen a site where he threatened to kill anyone.

So it is acceptable to have crazy people threatening to kill you on public transit as long as you have lived there. Next you will be telling us you are a black Jew.

Nobody said it’s acceptable. It’s not acceptable to kill those people either.

Witness says Jordan Neely started making death threats against passengers before Daniel Penny engaged him

According to police officials and video, Neely had been harassing passengers on the subway and making threats when he was placed in a minutes-long headlock by a 24-year-old former US marine.

A New York City police spokesperson told Newsweek that Neely's record has 42 prior arrests, dating between 2013 and 2021. They include four for alleged assault, while others involved accusations of transit fraud and criminal trespass. At the time of his death, Neely had one active warrant for an alleged assault in connection with a 2021 incident.

Jordan Neely Threatened to ‘Kill People on the Train’

“He said, ‘I don’t care. I’ll take a bullet, I’ll go to jail’ because he would kill people on the train,” the woman said of Neely. “He said, ‘I would kill a motherf—er. I don’t care. I’ll take a bullet. I’ll go to jail.’”

So no quotes from a reputable source?

His criminal record is not relevant.

Newsweek and The Guardian aren't reputable? You're an idiot.

Newsweek does not say he threatened anyone, it’s simply information about his record. The guardian is hardly reputable, but even they don’t say he threatened any specific person, or that he threatened death.

“Making threats” could mean lots of types of threats…. He could have been threatening to go home, or to do the moon walk…

You are one ignorant flyover country cross wearing cracka, some loud and mentally unbalanced people ride the subway and say a lot of things , If you lived in NY you know how to deal with it and don't have vapors or kill them. Ridership of 40 plus billion a year

Why are passengers and witnesses stepping up to thank Daniel Penny and others who helped? They were there, and terrified.... If this is a "normal" incident on the subway, every car needs an officer assigned at all times....

They thanked him for killing the guy?

In that situation one ignores the crazy person, moves to another car, or offers to help. One does not choke out the crazy person.

If the crazy guy had been white and rich they would have the marine arrested for murder of the former President.

In Arizona, three people pull out pistols, shoot the asshole dead, and the police comment on how nice their shot groupings were.

Correct...violent threats and throwing garbage.... It is Very likely that Daniel Penny's intent was to subdue him so that he didn't harm others...or himself...

Please tell us why he died.

Please tell us who killed who?

Who did the real danger and threat turn out to be here in this situation after a man died.

The Homeless man hurt no one- The so called hero killed the homeless man!

Can you explain that?

If you strangle someone to death- FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN SELF DEFENSE- That's Homicide!

If you intentionally commit homicide, it's Murder 1.

If someone dies by your actions, and it was unintended, THAT'S MANSLAUGHTER.

You can just run a stop sign and accidentally kill someone, and be charged with manslaughter.

A court has to decide all manslaughter cases.

Cops are not judges, or juries, and neither are district attorneys. They cannot determine a killer's guilt or innocence!

But, in manslaughter cases, a court has to decide.

So the cops just did their job by arresting the killer, and so did the district attorney by indicting the killer, and bringing this case to trial.

When you kill someone accidentally or on purpose- YOU ARE A KILLER- EITHER WAY!

The toxicology results aren't back yet so we can't know for sure.

Why was Jordan Neely on the subway? He should have been either incarcerated or in a residential program getting help for his mental illness. Neither of us were there, so it's impossible to tell how this unfolded until all the details have been revealed...What would you have done if you were in this car with a mentally ill person out of control? Daniel Penny was not the only one who stepped up....
It's a terrible shame a life was lost...and a terrible shame this was so poorly...and politically... handled...
Many people to blame here...

If Gecko had been on that subway with a lunatic threatening the lives of the riders, he would welcome a brave Marine veteran who had the courage that he lacked, to stop the lunatic.

The lunatic is responsible for his own death. The leadership of N.Y.C. is responsible for this lunatic being loose on the subway, after having been arrested 40 plus times.

Lots of blame but none of it is the brave Marine veteran’s.
