You’ve been given the information you need and now the choice is yours to make.If you are not at home now you never will be.
You are at the crossroads and one sign points to Heaven and the other to Hell
Which will you choose?

Exactly true!We both know that most people will never get it
Obviously. Someone telling me a myth does not make it true.
Okay. But I am not making any assumption.
Any assertion that there is a god (let alone a specific god)...is nothing but a blind guess...just as any assertion that there are no gods...is nothing but a blind guess.
So...perhaps you can identify the "assumption" to which you refer.
Not sure of your point, BP.
Are you saying you think a god that will send some people into a place of excruciating torture for all of eternity...is better than a god that might cause a shipwreck...or a war?

Assuming reality that's beyond you is myth!
Ancient Jews made the story of Jesus. I do not find it compelling.
Every point you've made about the origin of ethics on this and other threads did not orginate independently in your mind.
Those are valid points there, Cypress. I do not look here for novel ideas...and, in fact, seldom see them in the many columns opinion writers produce for the newspapers.
Good to see how old ideas are put to use by posters here, though.

Sources outside of religious texts talk of a man called Jesus who caused quite a stir.
There is zero doubt He existed, it’s historical record, the only question they debate is whether He was God
I did not say that person did not exist.
Cypress needs to be cornered and forced to think. Even then he'll sit on the fence. As I said, it feels like you are amazingly well versed in a number of topics, but lack that kind of interaction that comes from robust discussion and debate. It feels like you seldom challenge yourself to see the opposing side, especially after you've read an authority.
Good luck with that! You're betting it all you're not assuming

I know I am not assuming.
How can it be anything else?

We don't live with Ancient Jews
