Trump J/6 indictment document

Just as the political parties do not compete for national popular votes, the Democratic strategy does not compete for states they cannot win like Texas and Florida. At least, that was your reasoning earlier. Have you now reversed your argument?

a contest with a specific prize is awarded

So Trump won Texas and Florida.

watching shit stains grasp at smelly straws is hilarious

There is no competition if one side is not competing--at least that is what you told us earlier.

if one side decides to skip a competition and forfeit the other side is declared the winner

you really are a moron

what I said earlier is we have no prize or competition for a national popular vote. it isn't a competition as you don't benefit. nothing to win means you can't win

You are really having a hard time with your "prizes" and competition argument and trying to backtrack on your previous statements.

I merely stated Trump received fewer votes than Hillary and Biden in 2016 and 2020. He received fewer votes whether he was competing or whether he won a prize or not. You cannot accept a simple truth without contortions about prizes and competing.

Did Trump "lose" CA and NY since he chose not to compete and forfeited to Biden? Or, I guess he lost whether he was competing or not because there was a prize at stake and he lost that prize.

I understand your points, but they are too trivial and complicate an otherwise simple fact.

you are struggling with simple words like win and lose.

Trump clearly lost California and New York - and the Unites States electoral college. Biden clearly lost Florida and Texas

words are not trivial and your lies are not facts, they are lies

I did not lie because I am willing to use "received less votes" because you are so sensitive about the word "lose." My statement is still clearly true and whether there is a prize does not change anything.

I guess Trump was lying when he said he won the popular vote in 2016? And 2020?

You had a huge tell - you still are granting significance to this phony competition by claiming it proved a lack of support. That is not true. We would have to have an actual popular vote competition for you to make this claim

so yeah, you were lying

BS.

What is the lie, that Trump didn't receive fewer national popular votes than Biden?

BS.

What is the lie, that Trump didn't receive fewer national popular votes than Biden?

your lie is pointing to a lack of a competition to decide who won it

again - a national popular vote would change the strategy. people would act differently - and we don't know who would of won a national popular vote in 2016.

so you lie when you claim victory for a competition that did not exist or claim this proved he lacked support

SC Jack Smith has a lot of witnesses testifying against Trump.

All of the 86 witnesses are Republicans that worked closely with Trump during his stint in the White House.
Yes- All of them are Republicans.

The right wing, including Trump, would like you to see this as a partisan Witch Hunt. It’s not.

Jack Smith has the goods on Trump- from testimony and documentation-some directly from Trumps own private and public conversations and actions.

Thats right - Trump often acts against the recommendation of friends, his lawyers, and the courts. He continues to incriminate himself.

Completely distorted logic based on some argument I never made.

Was Trump lying when he said he won the national popular vote in 2016 and won the election in 2020?

I'm arguing about what you said (and now you are lying to have said it). This is not about any of Trumps' stupid claims

This is about your stupid claims of how not winning a national popular vote showed he lacked support

Read it again. I did not say the president is elected by popular vote. I said he has never won the popular vote in any election. That tells us something about his lack of support.

this does not tell us about his lack of support

this tells us you don't understand election strategy

159,690,457 people voted in 2020. That is 66.9% which is the highest in many years and 23 million more than 2016.

Do you really think a different election strategy could have resulted in more voters?

2016 is the better example

we didn't use a pandemic to completely change the rules in some states. 2020 is an outlier statistically where we are clearly doing ballot harvesting at levels never before seen

More voters is more representative of the nation's population. A church, for example, that goes around to their elderly, sick, and disabled members to harvest their votes provides more people a chance to vote. Vote harvesting is legal in most states because many people are not able to go to the polls.

we will not agree on ballot harvesting

It was not new to 2020. Almost all states allow it in some form.

The 2020 presidential election featured record turnout and record use of nontraditional voting methods.

It was an outlier. I (and experts) anticipate 2024 being more like 2016

Because Trump botched the US COVID response. If he'd supported the CDC and measures to minimize the spread of COVID (yes, masks) along with earlier support for Operation Warp Speed, thousand of lives and billions of American dollars could have been save.
